For the most part. Land does slope to house . I'd like to dig burms but other projects going on since we were in a long drought.
Dry creek cuts under drive. Got landlocked once.

I hear ya. If we pull up short on our winter totals we'll most likely make up for it with the spring storms. Yes we've had some crazy weather patterns the last 5-6 yrs. 2012 was the hottest summer on record. Last winter 2013-14 was the coldest in over 40yrs. We've also had a all time high 1 day rain total in there:eek:

Landlocked you can probably deal with ... water in house not good. Hope it cuts you some slack and doesn't go there. When is it supposed to turn to snow?

This will sound ridiculous, but I prefer to get good snowfall in Winter over catching up with rain in Summer. We get about 5 decent months for fishing and hunting ... and those other Summer activities. ;) Too much rain dampens the fun; pretty selfish of me I guess.

Most do. It gets pretty humid in July/Aug. Highs in the upper 80s to low 90s are not uncommon. We have 2 window units that work perfectly to cool the whole house. Burn pellets in the winter for heat.

2 plans complete now ... wait for morning weather checks/adjustments.

Easy money night FTW! coffee

    Yep :pccoffee:

    BTDT ;)

I was hoping we'd get a decent snowfall ... but so far this system appears to not be living up to the hype ... very dry and looks trace-like so far :notsure:

    +1

I'd much prefer a lot of snow in the winter to rain all the time. Though out here in the mountains an afternoon rain storm for an hour or two is pretty common but then it clears up again.

In Summer we don't normally get rain storms, just clouds set in and, more often than not, it's just a steady drizzle kind of rain. Which makes everything and the whole day(s) wet ... kind of dampens the fun. Pun intended ...

Yeah I grew up in Michigan mostly and am very familiar with a drizzle, grey overcast blahness.

Love the weather out here in the mountains. Though it's best to summit peaks by mid to late morning so you can get down before the afternoon thunderstorms. Nothing like getting caught above tree-line in a lightning storm.
