Just never been a big eater. My job doesn't help either. There are days when I go almost 8 hours before I get a chance to eat.

Fuuuuuck. If I go more than 2-3, I start getting light-headed. Fortunately, at my new job, I'm still able to eat every 3 hours or so. You can't gain without eating!

Just got done with upper b. My legs are sore as shit from yesterday's workout. Love it! Gonna have my cheat meal today. Zaxby's in about an hr

I know. I have it all setup to eat every 3 hours and if I don't get a chance to eat my meals at +/- 30min around that 3 hour mark I get pissed and short tempered. The military always preaches "fit to fight" but don't give flight line maintainers gym time or lunch breaks or anything. It's eat when you get a chance and PT on your own time. Kinda hard to PT when you come off a 12 hour shift while everyone else outside of the flight line gets an hour lunch and 1 1/2 hours of PT time included in their 9 hour work day. It sucks but I do my best. That's why I like to go before work so I have the energy and not beat and exhausted after work. Especially when I work outside all day in all the elements.

I was doing that for a while. People would look at me weird when I would pull out a ziplock bag with a chicken breast and eat it, lol. I may have to just go back to doing that since it's cool enough out. Can't do that during the summers here when it reaches 115+ degrees

Good stuff. E&E guy here. Riding the gravy train in backshop/ C-17 HSC now, but 2 years flightline on 15's at Kadena, I feel your pain. I carried the Naked protein juice/smoothies in my backpack to try and have something in my stomach.

Right on. Been on the flightline for 8 years now. Back in 2011 we were so overmanned with Arm-SrA that us Staff's only had to be around to supervise the maintenance or do the heavy maintenance so it was easy for me to come and go on the line and eat and take breaks, but now we are so undermanned that we have guys who have been Techs for 2 years now still crewing jets and doing maintenance. I'm sure we'll get a mass in flux of new guys at some point.....right? :p

Just hit a #400 back squat with some knee wraps and a belt!! STOKED!! Couldn't squat #100 2 years ago. ROM was about 1.5" above parallel... But, it's a start. I hit a full ROM at 365 before hand with the wraps. First time doing wraps too so felt different. Still proud of myself.

So, you probably lost fat and gained muscle simultaneously. Do you have a lot of body fat (<20%)? People with higher percentages of body fat can do so because the body goes after the fat for fuel while you put on muscle. After you get to a certain body fat percentage (usually below 20%), it's much much harder to simultaneously lose fat and gain muscle; in fact, it's nearly impossible, but some people can do it by doing recomp diets and cycling calories. 99% of people just bulk and cut though because it's simpler. Eat a lot for 8-9 months to put on mass, then cut for 3-4 months to lose fat in order to show off all the mass you attained from your bulk
