What's all the arguing about? Someone suggests it would be nice if the new Tacoma offered a brake controller or a convenient place for one to be installed. For some people this would be nice, others don't care. That doesn't mean it would be stupid for Toyota to offer this.

    not sure on your numbers..

    from the ram site.
    Curb weight 7900
    payload 6030
    towing 23320
    GCVW 37800

So from the Ram site you can tow almost 3 times your curb weight.

It's the Dodge RAM 3500 towing thread. Let's have a mod rename it. :p

    Thank you...

how much would it cost to add an overload spring or tow spring set and a good place for the brake control and I get jumped by the fanboys.

they aren't making it for you, they are making it for the general consumer. by their research, the general consumers don't need/use those items.

Did you see some sort of pre-lease that the 2016s aren't getting your pipedream?

Because 2016 details aren't set in stone. Nothing official. Just "fanboy" forum talk...

...so you need to check you resources

Make sure to start a thread... "Sold Toyota due to lack of included brake controller"

We have a saying 'round these parts. "If common sense was common, everyone would actually have it."

    Love the new thread name.

when you do, make sure you go to a forum dedicated to the vehicle and complain their new model (that hasn't come out yet) didn't make items available that will only be beneficial to a small subset of the people who own the vehicle, no matter how cost prohibitive it would be to that manufacturer to add it to every vehicle they produce.

Tacoma is stock and staying that way, Pickup is TBA as of now.
This is why I bought a diesel for towing. I would never tow anything larger than 3500# with my Taco, it is too small and light for anything bigger than a little utility trailer imo. My 7.3L Powerstroke on the other hand, most she's towed is 26000# and that was just a lil bit above the manufacturer's towing limit.. Anyway, here she is the weekend I brought my Tacoma home from South Dakota.

I don't, but I've found it very representative for the maturity of this forum as a whole. The OP had a reasonable complaint, and because a few members and an irresponsible Moderator didn't like it, they bashed the OP and changed the thread title. Most automotive forums have their fair share of fanboys, but I've NEVER seen anything like this. The moment you say anything remotely negative about the Tacoma on here you get attacked by not only members but also Moderators. Pathetic.

And for this I'm most grateful.

In fact, I'd like the truck to even be smaller, more basic and more economical in TCO.

If I need a full size, I'll buy one.

    and then get bashed
the a mod jacks the thread.

this really helps to keep people in a toyota.....

I have no problem moving on to something that works.

I assume you are the moderator that childishly changed the thread title. Grow up. Asking for a break controller on a truck that is rated to tow 6500# is NOT an unreasonable request. I have noticed that the OP has been plenty negative about the Tacoma in multiple threads and understand how that can become tiresome. Regardless, the original topic of this thread is far from absurd.

    Sir
that was not the title or thread name.
Come child jacked it as they did not like any question or comments about Toyota that may let people think Why... why don't they do that.
