    hello to everyone!!!
I own an 06 5lug Taco. Its got a 2.5 leveling kit up front and an add-a-leaf w/ pro comp shocks in the back. I'm about to tackle a gear ratio change. From 3.31 to 4.11. Any advise would help. Its got 31 inch tires.
    thanks, paul

    I'm assuming it's a prerunner?

I'll send some pix. It's a non-prerunner. Here's some stats: 2.5 leveling kit from a prerunner(by Daystar), Procomp add-a-leaf w/ a set of hellwig leaf spring helper, and Procomp ES3000 shocks. With 31 inch tires, the truck is somewhat bogged down. The original tire size was 26 inches and with 3.31 gear ratio. My home made intake system helps.

Have you calculated the rpms at speed with the 4.11s and 31's? How far off from stock does that work out?

With the price of gas these days I'd hate to see you running gears that are too steep.

Here's the part number for the leveling kit. ProComp 64302
I think the add-a-leaf is also procomp. I'll try and see if I can find a part#

Correction on the spacers. It's actually ProComp, part#64302. Its like doing a strut replacement. The kit provides you new "longer" bolts. Instructions will guide you through.

ahhh so its a polyurethane spacer with extended bolts, so was it trimmed to fit the narrower 5 lug strut bolts?

No trimming needed. Everything bolts right in.

It's about $200 bucks plus tax. You don't really need to replace the shocks.
Here's the breakdown: Spacers=$80, Add-a-leaf=$50, shocks=$35 each. You can use the stock u-bolts for the add-a-leaf. Yes, I did the work my self. Don't know what the readylift go for.

Your truck looks great. How do those 31"s workout? Did you have to do any trimming to fit them? Is there any rub? I'm surprised to see 31" tires on the stock rims.

Thanks. The tires work great. It does rub on the sway bar on a lock-to-lock turn, I think its because of the rim offset. Some tire shop told me that the 31's won't fit on the stock rim, I guess that mystery is solve. I looking into aftermarket wheels. I'l keep you posted.

is it two pieces? an isolator on top of the coil over and a spring spacer inside the coilover? that would mean pulling the coilover a part right?

Yes, you have to pull the coilover a part to be able to replace the stock bolts with longer ones. The spacers will just sit on top of the assembled strut assmebly.

Thanks, just needs a standard wheel alignment( toe and camber). Around 50 bucks or so.
