I'm just waiting for a mod to end the stupidity and delete the thread entirely.

Seeing the third gen section forced me to get a Ford...
have you seen the threads about TSB leaf springs, rusted frames, melted DRL housings, etc? those are legit issues and no one bats an eye. arguing about something that may or may not happen in the next 6 months on a truck that hasn't been fully released yet is pointless.

Well, I also tow a 2400 lb boat 250 miles round trip to the beach Friday to Sunday. Never had a problem there.

Also towed the same boat 60 miles through the Uwharrie Mountain area to the lake. My dad has done that with is 1st gen through the same area and never had a problem. Not gonna say the engine liked that though!lol

I've spent time on a WIDE variety of forums, including other Toyota, Acura, Ford, Infiniti, Jeep, Ram and Chevrolet. The only one that comes close are the Jeep forums, notably Wrangler ones. Even then, they aren't quite as bad. I can't speak for Honda forums, but if they're geared towards Civic owners it'd make sense if they were a little crazed.

Regardless, there are quite a few reasonable members on TacomaWorld, but they often are drowned out by the fanboys. Every discussion seems to get derailed.

I'm good with that. Or lock it until Toyota releases all the info, or the truck.

OR quit acting like a child and understand the other viewpoints could be reasonable. Conflicting ideas can create good conversation, but that regresses quickly when people immediately get defensive.

I would prefer that any forum not have direct, personal attacks on people's personal opinions. It's one thing to disagree; it's another to spew hateful personal attacks. You can disagree and have an argument without disrespectful comments and viscious language.

You often exhibit the behavior of a poorly raised child.

When someone keeps bitching about the truck they should get rid of it. Instead the OP keeps on bitching and bitching and bitching but still has the truck he has no one to blame but himself it gets old quick. Easy solution is to get rid of it.

Lowered expectations FTW! Every automotive forum I've been on has at least a few fanboys, but that doesn't mean there's a complete intolerance for conflicting opinions. And yes, jhodge83, please explain to me how this internet thingy works. I finally got a computer and am trying to figure out what these little thingies on my screen do. I believe someone called them icons or something.

what is that 1100 feet? On the highest point. And that is not the road.

Try towing Blackmountian and the pass on I77 going up to Va and WV.
anyplace from 2500 to 3500 or more and some of the climbs are 1500 feet in 5 fo 6 miles.

Not all towing is the same.
On flat ground it is easy.
