What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

Thanks! With the offset and width difference, they are just inside of the wheel wells now, rather than just outside of it. In a perfect world, I'd like them to be flush. I may think about keeping both sets and painting the chrome flat black, and keeping a winter/summer or road/camping set in the garage. But, if I can sell them to pay for half of new tires, then that's what might happen.

Picked up a 4th Gen 4Runner ignition assembly with immobilizer that includes the clear ignition ring. Once I receive it I'm going to try and fit it to my Tacoma so I'll have a lit ring. Tried to do this a while back with a 3rd gen ring before I disassembled steering wheel trim and it just wasn't going to work. 4th gen immobilizer assembly looks just like the 2013.

 

Changed my rear diff fluid and lubed my shaft

Also took it to get a floor jack and some jack stands so I can rotate my tires.

Next up is front diff, transfer case and plugs and my 30k service will be done (at only 32,000) not bad for a slacker like me.

The reason the connection is so high is because the hand ladders are below the connection and the hose bed is directly above. I guess they were trying to squeeze as much stuff in there as possible. haha

 

I see where you're coming from, but you can probably also take your truck home after that 24 hours. I live here 24/7 as an intern student. My home is 10 hours away so I can't go home every time I need to work on it. Not to mention I rarely pull it in the bay. Only every once in a while if I want to vacuum it out.

 

I went with these for a few reasons. 1. Price. 2. Easy to maintain/rebuild/serviceable. 3. They fit the bill for what I need them for. I wanted to be able to get the truck aligned after lifting it. The most off road the truck sees is fire road/game lands roads, so uni-ball control arms seemed over kill what I do with the truck
