Are you a 17 year-old HS dropout or do you just possess the mind of one?

Yes Im the 17 yr old drop out that has had a 2005,2011 and a 2013 Tacoma. Unemployment pays well enough here to supercharge my trucks since no one will hire me.

    Very true...
With all the grest things you all say on here and the specs for the Taco I thought I would be fine and it would work great....
After all im only towing less than 1/3 the design max weight...

who would have thought Toyota would blow smoke and over rate the truck and say it will do stuff that is can't. ....

In due time it will be gone.

Toyota doesn't even provide an integrated brake controller with the Tundra.

TOYOTA If you must know and a bunch of people on here.

And trust me I know how to tow. From the way you act I bet I have been towing longer than you have been alive.

If you have the means to buy a Tacoma you have the means to get rid of it....You hate your truck so much I dont understand why you still have it when all your post suggest you want to drive it off a cliff. Get rid of it be done with it.
BTW Toyota states 6500lbs but its up to you on how you tow the 6500lbs. Customer have to do their due dilegence and get the right equipment (i.e. proper trailer and not some single axle jet ski trailer to tow 2 tons of pellets)

I've been looking at getting a brake controller for my '15 for towing. I guess I look at it like this: There's a whole section in the manual that talks about winter driving. It talks about how to put chains on and how to drive with chains. My truck did not come with chains. Should I be upset that Toyota did not include tire chains in every truck that they sell?

A quick search on eTrailer turned up more than 30 different brake controllers. I've got an RV towing catalog that has at least that many but of different mfgs. If Toyota were to include one with the truck, would it do what I want it to do or, like the tires, would I be changing it out for one with the features I want? I do like the idea for a spot in the dash for one, but again, from looking at the pictures on eTrailer, it looks like they range in size from a small garage door opener on up to a large paperback book (think Michener or Clancy sized book). If they made an opening, it probably wouldn't be the right size, so then what?

No you don't. Sorry, just have to flat out disagree anytime someone says they NEED to go the posted speed limit, especially in mountains. So long as you're not getting passed by semi trucks you're doing just fine. You see all them "50 car pileup" videos? Yours is the mentality that causes them.

FTFY :) Towed a u-haul from AR to WA with all of my wife's worldly possessions over the Ozarks, Rockies, and Cascades with no problems after driving from ME to AR. We didn't hit mountains til we got to Colorado.

Why would a Tacoma out-tow a Ram 3500? Did you mean to go to Tundra Forum?
