Considering this for 12' TRD Sport. One question, I see that the little black grill inside the scoop is removed for light bar installation. Can the grill stay in place with minimal loss of brightness or does it have to be removed for installation? It would be nice to have the light bar totally invisible until it's powered on.

only the ends of the insert can be re-used. the insert is solid, not a see through mesh, so the center of it has to be cut out and removed for the light to shine through. There is an aftermarket stainless grille insert that can be put in place of the plastic one that light can shine through. http://trexbillet.com/cart/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=1530
I have not actually installed one of these so im not sure how well it would work. it may block more light than you would want it to.

I have a weather tech rock guard on the front of my 2012 hood. Will this interfere with the beam?

Im not sure if it would interfere either. you would need to lay a level on top of the shield back to the front of the scoop and see if the scoop is taller than the guard. That's the only thing I can suggest you do to see if there would be interference.

I want to get one but I need to save up my funds to buy it. Hopefully by that time someone will have it installed and can confirm. It looks like a great product.

not looking so good right now. Have a lot of people sub'd but no one committed to buying. I think once a couple installs get done with good reviews, then it will be time to set up a GB.

I'm totally waiting for this to happen. Super excited for this though. Wanted one since I saw one on the 2011's. Skewp was too small until now......
