We have a group going up sevenmile tomorrow. I realized that I have never bashed with the km2s. Anyone had experience with these in deep snow? I haven't heard good things so I am wondering if I should look into chains. But I only plan to run these tires for another year before I get something else (we will have a discussion about choosing tires before too long) so I don't know if I should buy chains for the pizza cutters since the next tires I get will be wider 33s.
What do you all think about this?

I think they do great, for a skinny tire. If you are going through a ton of deep snow they might not be the best option. If you are going up ice sheets, any tire will need chains. I broke trail many times last year with my 4runner on 255s, I run around 12-14psi so they still float a little, nothing like when I ran 295s.

None of that really makes a difference though, the trail limo will get stuck in the 1st corner doing a 50pt turn.

Did you ever run them at higher pressure? Wondering if the snow isn't too deep if I could try cutting down instead of floating by keeping the pressure high. This may be flawed reasoning, though.

Edit- you snuck in that jab after I quoted you, that was low! ;) you are just jealous of the three tons of sexiness that is the limo.

I don't think there is ever a reason to wheel at full pressure unless maybe median hopping.

I'm still on my quest for the "perfect" tire size/tread. I'm most likely going tall and skinny on the next set to see how they do.
