You need to remember it's your vehicle not the insurance companies. Demand Toyota OME parts. They are trying to save money, not your problem. They hit you.

So damages we upped again to $8200. It just got painted today and should be ready tomorrow. Geico is going to send an adjuster out friday to take a look at what its worth now. Which I don't see why they just can't do it over the phone and get a Kelly Blue Book.

Anyways hope to have it back tomorrow I'm pretty excited we are going off roading up in the mountains saterday so I'll wax that mofo.

haha I mean't I'm going to wax that ass and take it off road. They bake the paint on at the Toyota collision center they have the same machine they use at the factory. They said that its good to go I can do what ever with the truck.

It take 90 days for the paint to finally dry under the top layer but the outside is nice a hard I guess.

    Stock for now...
You can use Wizard's polish to put a super shine/protective layer on it - it's recommended for fresh paint jobs . I've used it to final buff fresh enamel with no issues and the stuff holds up great . JC Whitney and others carry it in stock .

Just got the truck back and it looks fucking awesome. There is only 2 things I can see right now that's weird. Number one my fifth tire pressure sense isn't blinking which isn't right because my fifth tires isn't there. Also the front bumper on of the lines is just a tiny tiny bit off.

All the paint looks really good the tail gate closes and opens better then new. The new new front and rear bumper lines are awesome (execpt one line on the front bumper).

It drives straight as an arrow. All the alignment numbers came out spot on. The frame numbers are spot on. No creaking noises its almost exactly the same when I bought it. Little things but its not a big deal at all.

Geico should be coming soon to do their diminished value appraisal I'll keep it posted.

    Hey Iowa,

I was curious, since I'm thinking about getting a hitch step, were the body guys of the opinion that there wouldn't have been frame damage if you didn't have the hitch step in?

Probably not the tail gate/bed would have taken most of it.

Took the truck off road today and it was awesome. THey did a stand up job on the frame and all body paneling. It road straight as an arrow on the highway and it sounds great no rattles, shaking, and creaking. The paint needs a little more work up front but the back looks great.

I'm really happy with Toyota and I would take it back there.

Did you get oem parts ? You have usaa they should replace any parts for the first 2 years of the vehicle year model with oem parts no questions asked. Atleast that was the experience my brother had when he had is wreck in 2013 I see geico was paying for it. How did turn out ?
