One would imagine that a lot of that $400 would have been the muffler and the all new tailpipe. But yeah, interesting that the only answer is "bring cash and he'll work with you."


Also Andy, that's a sad looking negative arch leaf pack up against the overload.

Looks like good, clean work.

 

Dog rides in the back so I didn't want to have any issue with fumes. Ended up being 365 out the door. I think he gets a lot of "what if 10 people come". I'm happy for the most part. Kinda wanted quiet stock so I kept the oem muffler, if this drive me crazy. But this is only throaty at low rpm

 

So you are telling me I need new bump stops?

 

Yeah, you said that.

 

I doubt you'll ever hit those bump stops that are on there. But what I was really saying, is I'm confused as to what aftermarket leaf pack has that much of a negative arch at ride height.

The way the second gens are set up, with all the mounting stock and over the axle, it seems if you weren't flat or a bit negative you'd have a huge amount of lift.

 

For as much as I hated my 255s KM2s on packed snow and ice, I though they were quite good in soft snow.

I've heard that those are usually rather flat, but I don't remember Charlie's being negative like that.

 

I think the expos are pretty arched but they lift good bit too.

 

Emissions requires dump after axle in Denver. But you can dump RIGHT after the axle if you want.

BOSS springs are like that brand new. EXPO are arched 3+ inch lift. My Alcans have an extra special shape.

 

Looks just like mine. A nice continuous flow. That's a good price too.

Did you wrap the back side of the newly routed pipe?

 

True it does take a bit but I have loved and it still sounds strong 3+ years later. You will not be disappointed.

Mine was a MagnaFlow private label that he was selling at the time. It been a great muffler
