hey jdm, I had an idea for you on skids since you are a weight weanie :p

some guys use UHMW as skids with a steel reinforcement structure.

    check out some info here

That is a good idea. Perhaps I can find someone to make me a skid plate out of that. Shame I didn't know about it when I worked at the machine shop.

And considering that my truck goes off road once or twice per year, I think it makes sense to worry about weight.

i do too! i actually worry about weight too... the lighter the better IMO.. the only place that weight is really good is wheels tires and axles. Im actually planning on doing my underside in this UHMW stuff.

i think i read that 3/8ths thick UHMW needs support every 10" for ultimate strength.

Also Im going to try and get a banner made. Im going to Dedicate this ride to my Mom and anyone else that has lost the battle to Cancer. SO I would like to do this annually around the Sept time. just this ride got pushed back a little.

cool thanks everyone Im going to start the Official thread soon!

and then we can also Start a Annual OCT\NOV Run.
1st Annual Redz Spooky Ballz Fallz Colorz Run. or if anyone can come up with a Cleaver Name with Z's that would be awesome.
