I had done it. I resealed one of the headlights a couple times, and it was still leaking.

    Snowing pretty good this morning.

    Mornin Fellas,

Got about 4 inches of snow on the ground and it just changed over to a sleet mix. I have to get out there and exercise the 4wd actuators a bit...

Grey and gloomy here. Not supposed to start snowing until this afternoon/early evening.

Mike; I took the Mosin out this morning (early, so I didn't have to worry about cutting my range time short when it started snowing). I put about 80 rounds through it before my shoulder quit and my groups started opening up because I wasn't holding the gun correctly anymore. It's actually surprisingly accurate; I started out at around 25 yards and backed off to 100 yards and it was still grouping around 2-3" (not bad for such a crude version of the rear notch/front post setup). I bet it'd be a fun gun to shoot at night, though. Even with that long barrel it was still belching fire about 2 feet out from the muzzle, haha! I bet that shooting tracers would be damn impressive on a dark night.

The "Safety" knob is definitely crude and nearly impossible to operate with cold hands, so I mostly ignored it. But at least it's there if I ever needed to run with the gun loaded, I suppose.

Seems like it shoots high, though. Either that or I just need to adjust my aim point and hold it a bit lower. I started out aiming at the 10 ring and was hitting a few inches high, even after I backed out to 100 yards. I started aiming an inch or three low and it started impacting (more) correctly.

Still have not tossed my truck in 4WD. It's a shame, I know.... Drove home from work this morning in 2WD without issue and they hadn't done shit to the roads.

It's not that bad. Honestly, getting the headlights out of the truck might be the most difficult part. The masking takes the longest amount of time I've found.

I used extra sealant in my lights after I re-heated them and put them back together. Outside of a single time I saw a little condensation inside I haven't had a single issue.

I love the service roads but honestly it's not the same. Haha Either way I'm here for the next 2 years so I might as well meet some tacoma owners while I'm out here... :anonymous:

I don't know if you guys do mod days out here but I'm always game! Just say when and I'll bring the beer!
