Just got off the phone with them, going with the leather reinforced canvas one from Frost River. They seem like a decent place to buy from, hopefully it holds up.

It is amazing how expensive those new stoves are now. It almost wipes out much of the potential short term energy cost savings. I used to heat mostly with wood when I lived up in the northwest area of NJ.

The most efficient way to do this (if you can) is to have the stove installed right next to your furnace with a large return duct passing right over the top (basically touching) of the stove. Then, you just keep your blower fan on and send that heated air all over your house.

Lol. The problem that I have is that if my GF's not warm then I get woken up with icy cold feet on my back at 2AM.

Mild temps? I've been through about 4. But it's also to heat 2000 sq ft.

We just bought a home that was built in 1865. There is some insulation from the previous owner. The attic is currently uninsulated and still have some drafts to be fixed this spring. The oil furnace only burns to heat domestic water.

I built our house in 2007/08 , we have Low E windows and 1 1/2" styrofoam on the exterior over all the framing so there is no thermal transfer through the studs
