Anyone pick up the new Alice In Chains Album ?

I just down loaded it from I Tunes.........Its kind of earey in a way.....he sounds a little (very little some songs)like Layne....................But he will never be Layne!

Altho I must say I like the heavy guitar in "Take Her Out"........................nice.........

I might go buy a physical copy. I usually DL most everything. But AIC is one of my favorites..
the band talks very highly of William (new singer) But not as a replacement. But as more a new guy.

Layne was great, But was very problematic for the band. Now they can tour!

maybe, my buddy is way old school, he doesn't get down with the internet much, works out of a small garage off aurora in Seattle and does some of the sickest paint jobs around.

 

I have listened to this album now 3-4 times and I have to say............its growing on me day by day....................

Layne Staley was one of the best. He had such a unique voice. His vocals on Mad Season still give me chills.

 

yeah i got black gives way to blue. its pretty good even without Layne. Check my Brain and all secrets known are my two favorites on there. fun fact for ya: Elton John plays piano on the last track of the album.

 

Got it and it kicks ass!!! Layne (RIP) was great but Jerry's the man, he writes most of the songs and lyrics, sings and is a great and under appreciated guitar player.
