 I actually believe the storage part to be true. I used to call my grandmother once a month after I left home. Often I asked questions about the family history and various stories she had told me growing up, sometimes she wouldn't be able to recall the exact facts or answer, but almost always, she'd have that answer on next month's call. I always knew she was just going through the files in her brain, and there were a lot of files. ;) :)

    Welcome.
Still funny you would be waiting for snow that far down south.
    Enjoy the group.
    Lots of fun in here.

Sorry I missed this earlier Dave. Firestone Ride-Rite, I've had them coming up on 4 yrs now. They've served me very well. I like them for exactly that reason, i can adjust them as needed for my load. I run them at 9-10 PSI day to day (unloaded). Makes for a slightly stiffer ride, but I actually like the solid feel in a truck. At that pressure, I can put my 680 lb ATV in the bed without needing to add air; brings the truck pretty close to level. Empty at that pressure, truck has slight tail up rake.

 Tractor snow blower porn!

A short but beautiful love story
A man and a woman who had never met before, but who were both married to other people, found themselves assigned to the same sleeping room on a transcontinental train.

Though initially embarrassed and uneasy over sharing a room, they were both very tired and fell asleep quickly, he in the upper berth and she in the lower.
At 1:00 AM, the man leaned down and gently woke the woman saying, 'Ma'am, I'm sorry to bother you, but would you be willing to reach into the closet to get me a second blanket? I'm awfully cold.'
'I have a better idea,' she replied, 'Just for tonight, let's pretend that we're married.'
'Wow! That's a great idea!' he exclaimed.
'Good,' she replied, 'Get your own f.....n’ blanket.'

After a moment of silence, he farted.
    The End.

    x2 ... cool video Tom.

I ever tell you guys the Minot AFB snow plow in base housing versus Chevy Chevette story? When I retrained from avionics mx to command and control (op ctr) my class was 8 retrainees like myself. One of the guys had been a CE hvy equipment operator. There's a reason they have rules up north for base housing prohibiting parking on the street in Winter. Long story short, guy's running one of those big plows with the auger to throw the snow, clearing a few feet of snow out of base housing. Chevette buried in snow along road is invisible to him. He hit it from behind and was up to the steering wheel by the time he got everything disengaged. He didn't get in any trouble ... don't know how the car owner's claim went on that.

    Morning Paul.

I don't want to talk about that stupid ... ABORT RANT. :frusty: My opinion, she's an embarassment to the state and has brought on a lot of stupid AK based reality shows that are as far from reality as possible. Boils my blood. ... but I digress. I try to boycott her and the stupid shows, for my own sanity.

Yes please, I'll have some of that snow ... not happening this time. Clearing up and gonna be frigid cold next few days. Not sure the official accumulation, but guessing a few inches up north in Palmer and about 6 inches here on base and in Anchorage. Dry fluffy stuff due to cold temps. Mother Nature seems to be toying with us this year, again.

Gold Rush show is ok. And I watched most of the first season of AK State Troopers, couple of my neighbors are Troopers, and I kind of liked it initially. Then a few Summers back when we were camping at Deep Creek and taking our Zodiac out to catch halibut in Cook Inlet, Trooper Howie Peterson and his family were camping next to us for a week. Got to talk with him over beers around the campfire in the evenings. He was a regular on the show first one or two seasons. I learned that the Troopers on the show are coereced into doing the show. He said he didn't mind at first, but the publicity got to him after a while and in the end it made him and, more worrisome, his family, targets for the less desireable elements in our society. He actually had to get a lawyer and go to court to get out of doing the show and not lose his job. In my book, that's utter BS for a guy to have to go through that. BTW, extremely nice guy and authentic true Alaskan. Truly enjoyed sharing time with him and his family. But I quit watching the show after that.

And on the other ... I wish FoxNews would quit pushing her on the public ... I've given up on them now too, they've gone too far right IMHO. I wish folks could come to the middle of the table and get this country heading in some sort of meaningful direction. It's all or none on both sides, I fear it will be our downfall. :(

But enough of that ... Hope all is well there with all of you. :)

Agree they aren't completely soured, but the nut jobs they coddle get on my nerves. I've taken to watching that new OAN (One America News). So far they seem to be close to spin free, if that's even possible in this 24hr cable news society we've grown into. I miss the simple days of my youth, when everything wasn't so high tech and instant access. Not to be naive, just nostalgic.

Totally agree. That's the Jeremy Clarkson not bad approval face. She's definitely eye candy off the top shelf.

 Morning all. Supposed to get a few more inches tonight. Hopefully the sun comes out for a bit to melt some of the ice on the walks.

Hey Zach early wishes for a Happy Birthday. How's Pop doing?

    Have a good day everyone.

Mornin' Cool Old Dude Op :)

Our snow is gone for now; clouds drifted out and can see stars. Temp diving to negative single digits just before sunrise, then only predicted to get "up" to 0°F. Once I get home this morning, I think we'll stay home and watch TV with Bear and Shadow. ;)
