This is true for any truck that is lifted , not just Toyota . If you lift the truck , you change the drive line angle

I to am very surprised no one has taken any pictures of the underside or chassis, only one we have seen is that rear shot which doesn't show much. We also saw the mule pictures, which could sum up the 3rd gen a truly being a 3rd gen body on 2nd gen bones.

exactly.... goes along the line of its nothing more than different springs / degree shims in the rear like the current driveline TSB.

I'm glad that the vibration issue may be solved, super dissapoonted that this is how Toyota admits there was an issue. This off-handed admission is not really enough to those who have spent countless hours trying to track down their issue then learning to ultimately live with it to a certain degree. These are expensive vehicles and when someone says their truck is vibrating (lots of someones) to deaf ears it is a difficult pill to swallow. It gets tiring making concessions for my truck because it is a Tacoma so it is worth the niggles. I almost want to own another Jeep just so when something goes wrong I can say, well it is a Jeep after all.

My 2015 DC 4x4 has no driveline vibration. However, it does have a distinct clunk type feeling in the steering wheel on certain bumps and roads such as the 6 miles of gravel road I live on. My truck only has 700 miles on it so far so its going to be brought up to the dealer. Anybody else know if this is common or what it might be. Other than that and a noisy rear going down rougher roads,(sounds almost like a set of bad struts do in older cars) I'm liking this truck.

This is going to sound stupid. Really stupid. It needs a zip tie. Up under the steering column. Fixed mine. Concession number 23.

No issues with mine and never noticed it on my 08 or 11. Guess I've been lucky.

You don't happen to also have a fix for the noisy rear whatever that sound is which sounds similar to old bad strut rattle on an older car? I have to drive this 6 miles of gravel every day and that noise shouldn't be in a truck with 700 miles I wouldn't think? Thanks for that other tie wrap tip by the way. At first I thought you were pulling the newbies leg. But I see now its fact. Appreciate it.

Spare tire loose , hitch in the receiver , gear in the bed pockets ?

It depends. Obviously gravel roads are rough on vehicles but I've spent most of my life driving 60 down gravel farm roads in Iowa. Vista Cruisers and Biscaynes floated over the rough stuff like old Cadillacs. The road itself will loosen up a car over time but your truck should be solid at 700 miles. Check the leaf spring ubolts and the chain for the spare.

OZ-T you beat me to it. Does the 2015 use a chain for the spare?

There is a TSB for the steering column but some guys have had it done then had the clunk return. Then there is the dealer factor. Do you want the dealer taking apart your truck? I don't.

I think you may have hit the nail on the head. I noticed a chain hanging down from the spare tire center hole when I was having the snows put on. Thanks....Maybe a few tie wraps there too? Lol

best thing I did for my truck was by an angle gauge and some angle shims.Still not perfect but a thousand times better than stock. Those vibes were not acceptable.Shuddered at takeoff and vibes at different speeds all cured with driveline angle adjustment.

I sympathize with all those who have had the vibration issues. But since I haven't experienced it in my '13 Tacoma Sport, can anyone explain it a little better? I don't want to hijack the thread and tried to look at other threads specifically on the issue, but those threads are all over the place on comments. Just curious what the truck does when you have this issue. So far, I've had zero problems related to vibrations.
