What have you done to your Tacoma today? 1st Gen Edition

Yeah I saw your thread and thought about posting but figured I would just do it and see how it went.

Make sure to call TransGo and buy the valve body gasket set, they don't come with the kit, there are 17 different types of valve body gaskets for the A340 and it is nice to have them on hand before you start 'cause your gonna need 1 of the 17 sets and they are hard to source separately.

Pretty much yes. Increases hydraulic shift pressure at the plates. Arguably the same thing Level 10 and IPT offers without the custom tuning.

 

What 15" wheels can I fit on a 01 Dcab?

 

Pretty sure wheelers offroad make a black steelie specifically made for 1st gen tacomas.. Other then that im not sure...

 

Wheelers off road makes some 15" steelies. Also if you go to discount tire direct and type in your info it will show you all of the 15" rims that fit. They have a good selection.

 

Stopped by my local dealer and saw 13 new frames ready to be installed on 2nd gen tacos. I knew that they had some rust issues as well but didn't know it was this serious!!

 

Glad I live in the south, it maybe hot but we don't have this issue to deal with.

This. I have pacer aluminum wheels that fit perfect too. I think they are a 3.75ish backspace.

 

I am running 15" Black Rock wheels.

You can somewhat tune the TransGo kit by using a different drill bit size when increasing the hole diameter in the valve body plate.

The gaskets that TransGo sells are used by IPT and Level 10 and are labeled TransTec as seen in the IPT video, so they might use some parts from the kit as well but I am sure they have there own adjustments/fine tuning etc....

I like littlebro 5's MT classic wheels. Will the Mickey Thompson Classic III wheels or Sidebiters II in 15 fit on a 01?

 

I'm running summit racing 15×8 with 3.75 bs. Ended up having to add 1/4 wheel spacer for the front. To cleat brake caliper

 

I have the sidebiter II, they're a pain in the ass to clean
