I just did 3 coats of clear but not for the scuffs just to prevent rust because these spindles are known for that

Just got my new spindles from headstrong and was wondering if you guys had any tips for installing the brake lines. Did you simply remove and replace then bleed? Also, what bleeding sequence did you use? Any info would be appreciated.

Hey Krog welcome to TW! I see your in FL, where you located?
When I did my lines I connected them to the hard line first & then to the caliper. This let's gravity help put fluid in the line. Then bleed starting with the one farthest away. I did all 4 so I started with the passenger rear.

I'm in Panama City so I'm north of you guys but I've been following this thread for awhile now and finally have my spindles and still waiting for my all pro standard leaf springs. Thanks for the info Spruce, I was thinking about changing my brake fluid over to synthetic while I was at it but I've read that it's bad news to drain the master too low, that it will cause problems with the abs and then the dealer will have to flush it. Maybe I'll just wait on that for now so I don't cause myself any headaches.

Yeah from what I've heard If you let the fluid go to low and get air in the master cylinder you have to take it in and get it bench bled. It's a good idea to keep an eye on the level of fluid when bleeding them. Might want to get a line wrench (or flare nut wrench) to remove the brake lines.

Yea I'd like to keep from having to take it in which is why I'm skeptical about changing the fluid completely. Is it ok to add synthetic dot 3 to what's in the from the factory? I already bought the synthetic fluid but don't know if I can mix them. And I already bought a craftsman 10mm flare but wrench so is there anything else I'm gonna need? Thanks for the advice

From what I've read basically all DOT 3 is synthetic. One might have a little higher boiling point but should be ok mixed. I think as long as its DOT 3 you'll be ok.

Anybody have any pics with just the spindles installed with the rear stock suspension? I just got mine in but haven't bought anything to lift the rear just yet. I want to get an idea of how much bro lean I will have until I can get the rear lift I want.

Sorry another dumb question, but am I able to still run stock wheels with the spindles or do I need to go to a wheel with more back spacing.
