Should I lift my truck? I really like the idea of having a lift, but do the pros outweigh the cons? I dont want to spend the weekend installing a lift, just to find that I now have to throw more money into correcting camber, of fixing a driveline vibration. I dont want to spend $1500 on a lift, Im thinking more into the $300 - $400 range. Can I get a quality lift without too many complications for this price?

I have a 2005 TRD offroad 2wd prerunner. Dont do a whole lot of off roading. The lift is primarily cosmetic. I was looking at some of the toytec lifts. Would doing the lift springs and spacers with an AAL in the rear work. Im just going to run my stock rims and my BFG A/T 265/75/16. Will this be good? Any info or feedback would be great guys.

Ive survived all this time with a bone stock truck, and now I have been corrupted by the amazing trucks on this board. Now I have a BLHM, lift, debaged, and black rims planned for my truck. THANKS A LOT!!!

do the billy 2.5 lift w/aal, no UCA needed, and those tires will fit with no problem.

Hows the ride? Is tire wear pretty even? Which AAL did you go with?

Ride is better than stock. people have reported the rear bounces more.. but i've recieved NONE of that.. might be due to my 5100s in the rear. I did toytec 2 inch rear AAL without TSB springs (heres a pic)

My tire wear sucks cause i have knobby off road tires. i'll be going with the BF Goodrich ones people do all the time.. i'll let you know in a year or so how it does!

I feel the exact same way!!! Sometimes I think throwing 265/75/16's and leveling out the front with some billies is the way I am going to go. Then I see all the "amazing" trucks on here with lifts and 285's.... and I am right back to square one again :annoyed: lol!

Yea, I can deal with trimming a little and throwing on spidertrax spacers for clearing the 285's, but upgrading the uca's and possible driveline vibe have me second guessing too. On the other hand, lifted looks sooo good!

A few additions to make me feel cool.
Hey man if you decide to do it I will help you throw it on one weekend here in 29 Palms at the hobby shop if you want. We can do the alignment and everything right there.
