please tell me i screwed up somewhere and this isnt normal. i have over an inch of taco lean after putting in the new coil-overs. i thought i did it right because there is the little gold spacer on the driver side but it doesnt seem to be helping much. i do have a plate bumper and winch on the front that weighs about 200 pounds. the coil-overs have 886x coils. i also got the extended bolts so i could add spacers later if i add a compressor and dual battery up front. Dont know if any of that info helps, but maybe one of yall can spot an error.

The springs should settle a little bit. Also have you had an alignment done yet?

Don't mix and match spring rates. lol 886x is much stiffer than 885x. Take more pics of more angles. Specifically the top of the coilover to make sure its assembled correctly. Did you buy them new or used?

I should have mentioned that that they have been on for about a month now. I bought them brand new and already assembled. They are both 886x i took the stickers off of both so i as far as i can tell i got the right ones. the winch is in the middle of the bumber. Took in for an alignment after about 50 miles.

You might want to check the lower collar on the shock. The passenger side is upside down.

I'm not as confident as billabong - but from the pic you're showing - this does seem to be a possibility that I'd check into further.

See how the coil slopes UP to the right, while the spring perch slopes DOWN to the right?

Can't say for sure without looking at the other side, though.

^Hmm, in theory the perch should be spun 180 around the shock tube.

The coil buckets on the OME's are like that.

My old OME setup always had a nice taco lean. I even double shimmed it on the driver side, but it still had a lean too it.

I agree the coil may not be seated correctly in the perch , but the perch is certainly not upside down

    Absolutely agree.

I just re-read the thread. What I wrote earlier is ambiguous.

To clarify - I don't think the PERCH is upside down. (that happens a lot on 5100 shocks)

I do think that there's a possibility of the spring not being seated properly in the perch from either

    1. SPRING itself upside down OR

    2. Perch rotated 180 from where it should be

^Keep in mind these OMEs don't come pre-assembled from the factory. Maybe it's just the perspective, but in Wheeler's photo, the perch looks to be oriented differently: And max Taco lean without the shim should be 1/2" to 3/4" without the sway bar connected.
