Mine do as well, but I'll never understand why the 4x4 switch and the inverter button don't.

I would guess it is because Toyota wants you to be at a complete stop when you use the inverter (or at least when you plug something in and turn it on) and when you switch into 4WD, so you don't "need" to have those controls lit.

I could see that with the inverter. Just bugs me that it doesn't light like the rest of them.

4WD is shift on the fly, though. I am almost always moving when I put it in 4 HI. Just let off the throttle, that's all.

20161127_174404.jpg I used a 4wd switch out of a hilux and got a machined ring from a TW member. Fit like a champ, as far as the steering wheel lights I used 1206 led's from ozonium. I was concerned about tearing into it but it took longer to research how than actually doing it. Pop the plastic sides off, loosen two #30 torx, remove the plastic covers, unplug the circuit boards, desolder old and solder new led's in thier place. As long as the polarity is correct it was cake. One corner of the led looks sort of chipped off. Make sure the new led has the "chip" in the same direction. No more pale green, I went blue and white to match my instrument cluster led swap that I did with white faces and blue needles. The ignition ring and the window auto led are all thats left. The tundra and I think 07 camry transponder amplifier rings will work but thier pricey. Kind of a bummer it isnt stock on our trucks. And I tore into the window switch and dont know what the hell kind of led that little bugger is yet.

They light up until you break a wire in the clockspring.

I had forgotten that they lit up until I lost cruise control and the airbag light stayed on. Replaced the clockspring and "oh, look at that!"

I wish the ignition had a ring light and that the 4wd selector dial was also lit.

Those things probably light up on the 3rd Gen trucks.
