    Can anyone recommend a decent family beach in the area? I might be in the area soon and wanted to hit up the beach for a few hours and let my 4 year old son play in the sand and what not. He has never been to the beach so figured it might be a good time.

    Thanks for the tips on some beaches. If I go my only goal is to visit my grandma's grave site between Beaumont and PA so I should have a little time to check out some places.

    Just don't expect to find blue waters and white sands. The Gulf is pretty murky.

    It's no secret. Been to the coast several times just haven't been to the beach near PA since I was a kid. Still love the gulf even if the water is a little darker.
