A small handful of select mods.
LR 2 years no issues. Re-greased the ball joints and put newer slim boots on them this past spring. Only because one boot ripped from a coilover blowing up. I will make sure inspect them before runs just as I do the rest of my truck.

Curious how many of these failures are on trucks on the coast. It seems these days that the salt destroys everything. Just wonder if it might have weakened the welds.

I had one break last year. Right side, forward pivot. The shop discovered it and replaced it. And now the BJ has failed. Count me as another who's finished with SPC LR UCA's. Probably grab a set of All-Pro's or Icon's

I have a set of Camburgs.. not installed yet.. I keep reading mixed reviews. That they are noisy but still great arms.

Contemplating whether or not I want the DSM boxed ones, I seen a guy on here running them with his MT kit and he had crazy droop. Also thinking about grabbing a set of icons for the dust caps.

    This.

I have Camburg Ball Joint UCA's and only have those because they were already on my truck when I bought them. I have not heard negative things said about the Total Chaos Uniball UCA's. I do believe they are a little higher maintenance than a ball joint uca though.

We have our new boxed upper control arms for the Tacomas now available. They run $699 for the pair but we are having introductory pricing for the first run of them. Shoot us an email or message me directly for details.

I did call them. They have a re-issue program to replace the entire arms after you pay a $200 refundable core. But as I said, I'm finished with their product and I'll probably sell them as is.

That adjustability is what I'll regret losing. Centering the wheel in the wheelwell was a big reason I chose the LR UCA's

Just pulled the trigger on a set of TC UCA's from Wheelers. I should have them in this weekend.

Really happy with my TC uppers. DSM boxed uppers were my next choice.

As expected. The TC UCA install went smoothly. About an hour and a half to remove the LR units and put these in. The truck gets aligned tomorrow so I'll report back then with numbers, tire clearance and ride quality. So far I'm very impressed with everything from TC. Instructions were clear and strait forward. Future maintenance is well spelled out and the overall quality is impressive, especially when compared to the LR units. Oh and thanks to YodaDan at Wheelers for the great price and lightening fast shipping! Cheers!

I've been told by a reputable source that a major factor in the failure of the LR arms is due to the sleeved bushing becoming seized to the bolt. When that happens it doesn't allow the arm to cycle freely like it should and rotation has to happen somewhere and it puts a lot of stress on the pivots, causing them to prematurely fail. It's important to use a generous amount of anti-seize on the sleeves and bolts.

I'm running LR UCAs and so far so good. I guess time will tell but I got them based on the recommendation of a guy I trust who ran them for years on his Tacoma with more dirt miles in a month than many people drive in a year.

Didn't the Spec Ride bushings fix that issue ?
