We dealt with all that shit as well, until my wife finally lost it and decided the Cancun Resort Wedding pack was way easier an about the same cash when it was all said and done. Downside is it was about 2k for a couple to come and see, so we only had about 20 close family and friends show up, but we didn't have to pay for 100 people lol

I friend of mine got married at Wedgewood in Gilroy. The venue is all inclusive and as a guest, I'd have to say it was pretty nice.

We talked a bit about the cost (not cheap but not crazy expensive either). They were cheaper than many other venues plus the convenience of getting it all from one place was good. I guess the whole multi-vendor coordinating thing would be over the top expensive.

Having done it before, I'd go to Vegas :D

Were pretty simple people so we were thinking doing ceremony at Tahoe location for fairly inexpensive and then have a reception type get together after at a large group style cabin. But NOPE Tahoe wont allow anything over the suggested sleeping guest amount at a vacation cabin. Just extremely frustrating. Were not trying to drop mad coin on a big wedding, we would rather spend it towards a house here in the next year.

I already tried to SF Court house to get it done but she didnt like that too much. We have friends in catering/seat and table rentals and flowers and decorations. So that will all be free, as well as alcohol and normal drinks will be free. So we have a lot covered but the locations are proving to be difficult. Everyone tries to force your hand into spending through the nose. Becoming discouraging.

I think you would be good with crampons. I like going to wheel, but all that ice makes for a dangerous trip.

I lost track thousands of dollars ago.
That's why I'm glad I met my wife! SF court house and spent the money on the Honey moon in MOAB and traveling the south west and a down payment on our house!
If you guys are really simple people I would do the courthouse and have a blow out party afterwords. We got to walk up the steps in the grand room and we were married right at the top of the steps in my eyes it was a awesome spot to do so. I know the court house rents out on the weekends for weddings but I'm sure it's pricey!!

We did something similar. Small wedding. Big party-which was a picnic affair. Why not get married in Tahoe like you want (lake overlook) then find a public park you can rent for a party? People can stay where and if they want. Summer is the "slow" season-at least it used to be-and you might be able to get deals on rooms.

You're talkin' road ice, right? Is it that icy on the way to the campground? We'll probably just be hiking around, not wheeling except to get there.

I bet you can find a spot that would accommodate that.

Keep in mind any of the city hall places are gonna want a ceremony that goes "Do you? I do; You do? You are! Congratulations. NEXT!". Pictures are going to have to be quick and during the ceremony.

Have you looked into forest hill. I went to wedding up there. Its a pretty sweet deal and has both indoor and out door areas.the forest house lodge.

Totally false ours was well over 15min of reading and other things. The only thing that made it not feel like a standard wedding was not having 150 people sitting there in front of us.

Wow. When we asked, they said there were 15m blocks of time so they could accommodate all who were there.

    Glad to hear that's changed.
