No, it was funny that you removed it.
The fact that you're 19 explains everything.

Looking for some advice on taking out my dakar AAL out of dakar pack.

Is it possible to take out the AAL by dropping the axle and leaving the leaf spring bolts in, removing the center pin, and then reassembling everything or would it be easier to just remove the whole leaf spring pack?

Got the AAL in anticipation for a heavy rear bumper but after settling for about a month the rear is still about 2 inches higher then the front.

Yes. No need to pull the whole pack.
Just drop the axle, clamp the leafs you want to keep with 2 large c-clamps, and remove the AAL and pin. C-clamps are a must though. Trying to use just the centering pin to tighten things up will just strip the threads.

What coils up front? I have 883s. Dakars and AAL. Lift was put on last April. Ran my bed rack and RTT for 6 months before I put extra leaf in. Added it. Then took the rack and tent off. This is what I ended up with. Only about 1 inch difference now. My suggestion would be run it another month and get some serious miles on the leafs. You'll be surprised how much they settle. Sorry for the orange picture. Sun was setting.

my teenage vehicle was a 1978 Ford Fiesta, missing the passenger seat because my mother wanted to try re-upholstering it. I was chauffeuring all the ladies. Good times.

Yeah, 883s. But I also have a plate bumper on the front which brings it down a bit more so the rake looks more exaggerated.

I guess I keep em on longer to see if they settle anymore...

Ahhh, so I wasn't the only poor bastard with hoopty. My teenage years were split across a 1987 Ford Escort and a 1995 Dodge Neon.

I'm running 882s + 1/2" TPS in the front with winch, plate bumper and 3/16" skid. Running Dakars in the back with no AAL, only a spare tire weighing the bed down. The truck sits about a 1/2" away from level.
