TechShop needs some better chairs. Sitting here at the 3D printer for 7 hours sucks.

 

I hope that's all it is. The top was in pretty far. They were able to get it better but nothing I would want to drive on. Both my tires were pointing opposite directions and my steering wheel was rotated 90 degrees.

This is nice getting paid to be on tw while babysitting the 3D printer. Been here since 11.

 

Basically a wall.

Spindle is definitely bent. Hopefully that's the only thing.

These are both standing on their own.

 

I think that should be the only thing. Personally I feel like the uppers and lowers dont really bend I think they just snap (especially after market UCAS like yours). I know spindles will bend though.

 

Yeah that's what I'm thinking. got everything back together and it drives much better now. I'm going to take it in tomorrow and see if they can work with it now.
It was a lot easier than I was expecting to replace though

 

Yeah, me and Juanito had those out in about 1/2 hour and putting the new lifted spindles in about another hour + 45 mins . . .

When you say wall do you mean a giant bolder buried in the sand? Or did you hit the north side woops... I mean whoops too fast?

Josh or anyone with spindle gussets, what offset wheels do you need to clear those? Are there any other modifications needed?

 

No it kinda looked like the side of the wash where the water leaves a little edge, if that makes sense. I wish I would have taken a picture of it. It was more of a dirt curb then a whoop. Just saw it too late and abs didn't help.

I'm going to get some 1" spacers and if I need them I'll use those until I get some new wheels. If not then even better. Although I think I already rub my UCA on full lock

 

Did you install gussets? Or are you still waiting to buy them?

ABS kill is great for the sand, that's the only time I use it.

 

Not yet. Just need to get driving again before I gusset them. Will definitely be doing them though.
