    It's always nice to have time to plan it out.

    I've gotten everything planned out (expenses wise) except utilities and rent.
    I'm gonna talk to 2 perspective landlords in a few weeks when I visit the area and check out those options, but if it's as cheap as I think it'll be I'm set for at least 5 months without income.

    Does that include furniture and renter's insurance? Many people forget those expenses.

    I'm not looking forward to buying furniture. Growing up isn't as fun when you can't spend it all on your truck haha

    No, neither of my (current) options require furniture.
    My first option is renting a single room cabin, and it has bunk beds in it, all I'd need is a table, and a way to cook food (I'm thinking wood burning stove).
    My second option is renting a basement from a family member, but it would be a temporary thing.

    I wouldn't imagine I'd need renters insurance, but if I were to get it it wouldn't be much as I don't have a lot to insure.

    Renters insurance can be useful and usually doesnt cost more than a few dollars a month on top of car insurance. But its not necessary most of the time
