Holy cow, what an afternoon... Anyways...

Lsc, looks nice. Grab km2's or mtr's and be done with it. Can't go wrong, solid choices.

As for wheels, being that there are some fit issues on our gen, find someone who already has a wheel that you like... Look throug the build threads. Just my .02

Looking good man. I love the 01-04's. But I am too attached to my 97 to get rid of it.

Last I heard mtr are still on a nation wide backorder Logan, May have changed by now though. I run km2, I know for sure they last longer than the mtr mileage for mileage and quieter but the mtr is superior in most everything offroad. That said my next set of tires will be mtr's.

Oh and Monte, sorry bout it :) if you come to Moab I'll let you fiddle my triple sticks.

Good off road tires are going to be loud on the street. . If you want a quiet ride buy a luxury sedan.

It's a real world issue to some people, those of us that can't afford a dedicated trail rig AND a luxury sedan, it matters.

I understand that completely. BUT If my truck was my DD and I had no other car I would still get MTR's . A little noise won't hurt ya. But quite tires on road will hurt you off road.

Lol right, mine is DD and I don't mind km2's, it's white noise at this point.

Wait, you don't think I could do the Rubi with some Pirelli p-zero's???

2016 then! Thanks though for showing me that triple stick setup, I get to keep all my cup holders :)

Today I changed the shift seat and socket because the ole' bitch was getting damn hard to put in third and fourth. I was able to get into third and fourth completely if I just pulled up on the shift lever when shifting, so I figured it was time to change the seat. I ordered the Marlin Crawler HD seat and socket set and damn, I bought two pieces of nylon and got a whole new tranny. I had no issues with the transmission other than third being damn hard to put in and now it just feels perfect in every gear. You can tell by my picture of my old seat why this is.

My old shift seat might have been a bit worn

Shift Lever Before (it was really greasy/gritty with bits of seat caked in it):

Shift Lever After (now it is freshly cleaned and greased with new socket on the end):

Just my 2 cents worth here, butI don't quite agree with this. My experience is different.

Years ago, I ran BFG MT's for serous off-roading, and had an extra set of wheels with Dunlop AT tires for highway and light off-roading (much quieter and handled much better. I really got sick and tired of swapping the wheels a couple of times per month. One day, I went to the local off-road park with a buddy, and didn't swap back to the MT's. I was amazed at how grippy those AT's were. Much better on the rocks than the MT's.

When I was shopping for new tires for my current ride, I wanted a good off-road tire, that was also quiet on the street (I like listening to tunes and/or conversing while on the highway). After a lot of googling, I settled on the Michelin LTX AT2. They are awesome. My truck drives like a Camry on the highway, and work great offroad.

Probably not the best for mud though, so I avoid it if I can. They seem to do excellent in snow, ice, and sand, especially when aired down.

They are pricey though, but in this case, you get what you pay for.

    YMMV
