Most of the lowers are all made by a few manufacturing companies and are branded to the shop that is selling them. IMO internals and what you add to it to complete it are more important

It's a completed lower but completely customizable so I'm thinking about it

    No. Just no.

What are you planning to do with the rifle? I was shooting popups out to 470yards this weekend with a 1-4 Burris MTAC, and hitting at will. The TAC30 is a little cheaper but the glass is not as good. That is the cheapest practical scope I could recommend. The TAC30 is about $300, MTAC is about $400. Don't put shit optics on a rifle. Its a waste of a rifle.

Question. For those shooting steel casing. I have 200 rounds of federal .223 already, but im debating about picking up some steel just to see if itll shoot alright. I know local stores have tula. Should i just buy a 20 round pack to see how it handles or is that not enough? That way i know if i can save money and order steel/if i need to stick with brass.

How cheap is it? Independence Ammo is $6.99/20 rounds right now with good FMJ bullets that are crimped in quality new brass that is perfect for reloading. I'd have to save at least 2 or 3 bucks per box to shoot steel, but I reload.

And not to sound like a jerk, but no, 20 rounds isn't enough to judge ammo reliability for anything important. But it's sort of circular logic. If reliability is your top priority, you're probably not going to shoot steel. If you're shooting steel, then reliability probably isn't your top priority. If you're not extremely worried about reliability, there's really nothing to test for. Chances are your gun will eat steel just fine. The question is how much tolerance you have for stoppages.

I'd just buy some and shoot it. Actually, I'd just pay a little more and buy Independence and shoot it, but that's me.

All i needed to know :p

No its not that much cheaper as youd expect. It was just a thought/question that i didnt know the answer to. I dont reload nor have plans to anytime soon.

I probably dont want to be clearing jams or other issues very often. Really the gun is just for fun, possibly hunting in the future. But i guess i should just shoot it and not worry about whats being shot. (Im just a curious noob)

I shoot steel all the time through my AR with no problems at all. That said, there is no reason your gun should not be able to shoot steel reliably unless there is something wrong with it. Just my .02 Good luck

One of the things that I have learned over the years (i'm 49) is that you get what you pay for in optics (and many other things). Don't waist your money on that cheap scope. Save your money for awhile and buy the best optic that you can afford.
