I got one of these from a secret Santa or something a few years back, lol. It actually works really well though. It's all wire under the rubber so you can bend the little dude into any position. It holds my iphone 5 (but again, it can be bent for any phone) and hanging from the mirror is the perfect spot for when I get lost and need google maps. Only $13 on Amazon and doesn't require me to stick anything to my interior.

What about http://mobarmor.com/ for the phones. Just thought I would throw it up for an addition to the thread.

I went cheap. A piece of lexan and a little time with a hot gun. It's angled so nothing hits the screen and the insert into the CD tray is short enough to not trigger the CD loader
    [IMG]

My phone has a rubber case around it, so it doesn't slide or anything while it's sitting on the lexan.

Thanks for the ideas/recommends in this thread.

Ordered last night the extreme tech deck, as well as the mirror relocate.

I was kind of wanting the FLYZEYE lighting mod also.. but incompatible with the tech deck. Oh well, I need a better solution to #!@!# suction cup mounts holding my drive-cam (going to mirror relocate) and phone in place (GPS), vs launching themselves into a foot-well at random intervals. I also use a tablet, on occasion, for the very occasional passenger.

I imagine that if i really want pretty, ambient lights, a solution can be found/fabricated using the tech deck underside, an electronic parts store, and a really steady soldering hand..

I had the same lighting need and went with oznium lights, tapped into the wires for the light next to the shifter, under the PRND. That wire is controlled by the dimmer, so when I put an oznium light in each foot well and in the cubby under the temp control knobs, they all dim with the rest of the lights. It was really easy, I've never done anything like it before, but felt so strongly about it that I did it 2 weeks after buying it brand new.

I use a Nite Ize Steelie on the right side of the center pillar. It hasn't dropped my phone yet, despite bottoming out my front and rear suspension on multiple occasions. It's also sturdy enough to allow me to plug in my phone without it drooping. Might not be for everybody, but I like it. Amazon sells them for about $40.

On the plus side, the small magnet that is permanently attached to the back of the phone allows you to stick it onto anything metal. I pop it on my fridge while cooking sometimes to listen to podcasts or music.
