Hey skygear, what gauge wire are you using with the weather packs? And how about inside the cab on the switch backs?

I use 14 gauge for the switch backs and the weatherpacks. 2 of the weatherpacks are actually 10 gauge just to help with larger accessories like a compressor or similar.

For these boxes and form factor, the max amp rating is 30 amp per position. So having the 14 gauge really mates up nicely with the amp ratings.

COol. I have to remove a water heater. And go to the bank to cancel my card and file a fraud claim. Someone using my cc in another state at a petco for a few hundred// No clue where it was compromised. Might have been at a gas station. One thing after another.

I know your pain brother. Someone in SF city was using mine at a mall, Nordstroms, Gap, and something else. ..all places I don't think I've ever spent money at lol...really glad my bank has a good fraud detection system. They've caught a few things for me before that would have made life difficult for me when I went to spend money that would not have been there anymore.

So I don't feel super mad when I'm stuck at the self check out at Home Depot, on the phone for 20 minutes trying to get the fraud department to unlock my card because the charge at home depot looked fishy... (even though I go there like every other day lol)

Did you have a chance to terminate those wires and send them out?

Hey. What size connectors did you use to tap into the stock wires? Also. Do you happen to know what gauge the wire is

Stock wire is like 22 or 20 gauge. I just shoved wire in the pins to verify what I had on the multimeter so it was in a format that everyone on the internet would grasp. Meaning. The light was the visual people needed. Most people have no clue how a multimeter works or any of the information that it reads out on the screen. Let alone what it means.

You could just use a couple male weatherpack pins or deutsch pins and crimp them onto the ends of the wires then put them in the harness holes.

I would just span the wire, and wrap a splice in at that point/ Later if you wanted to remove it, all you would have to do is to remove the tape, unwrap your wire, then pull the plastic sheath back over the exposed wire.

Skygear any idea for the relay for the fog light wires? Or about the negative relay?

No, going to have to investigate that further tomorrow. pick up the wife from work, grocery, cook Dinner, dinner, movie with the kids, showers, bake a desert, story time, then bed time. Evenings fill up fast. Today they didn't have school due to the snow, so I was lucky I got what I did done today.

Don't forget I had all that Fraud stuff and the people at the dump with the hot water heater. One of the kids also had a dentist appt for a braces consultation. Normal things too like a couple loads of laundry and trash day. Cooked breakfast and lunch for the kids. Mandatory snow ball fight and sledding. Had to teach the boys how to go door to door and get paid to do nature work (snow removal). Jump started 2 cars in the neighborhood and towed another up the hill with balled tires.

Full time dad here. When they are home, they are first. I got you though. We will figure it out.
