Ever try Eddie Bauer stuff? First Ascent or Travex? My camping/hiking wardrobe is either EB or REI type stuff. Love it. Super comfy and it lasts. Except for those pants that had a tiny incident with some embers from the campfire....but I still wear them because they're just awesome.

Duluth Trading co is awesome for big and tall clothes. It's popular around here but I don't know if it is around the country.

Nobody outside of Minnesota cares about anything from Minnesota.

Just joking. I grew up there.

Joys of the internet. Tell someone you work hard and show the battle scars on your clothing. Immediately perceived as giving dudes blow jobs.

I have many outdoor clothes and brands. REI, and other outdoor stores are awesome. Most of them see what the best of the best is then copy it and make it their store brand. Eventually drop the brand they copied. LL BEAN and REI are notorious for that.

I have some Mountain khaki and other brands. LENGTH is the real issue with most of them Search for a 30x36 I mean really. I'm closer to a 28/29. Then search for a pair in a store I can go try on. Even harder, search for one that is made in USA.

In techincal gear. I have Arc'Teryx in their M TALL in some of the GoreTex pants, bibs, and other things. Mountain Hardware has a couple that I like and picked up also.

As I find something that I like in a fit and cut I like, I will buy multiples of it. Lots of men of my statue practice the same methods.

BIG and TALL - not SKINNY and TALL. Been there done that. been dealing with this my whole life. That is where there is a huge gap in the market.

At Overland Expo East, there was a clothing vendor there. He pulled me aside and started talking to me. Before you knew it, there were 14 of us tall guys ranging from 6'4" - 6'9" waving money in this guys face telling him we wanted his clothes he was selling in our inseam and waist sizes. We were all holding cash and offering to buy 4 pairs of each of the 2 styles and colors he had. There wasn't anything he could do. He kept saying it didn't meet his business model. He was going after the average market. you know, 'AMERICAN SIZED PEOPLE'

Boils down to this. I like it I get it, i get multiples of it if its available.

I wore all the other various brands growing up. Got to the point in my life when I started removing childish things from my everyday lifestyle. Came across an individual who taught me a few things and got me sized properly in all the clothing I wore. Having the right fitting clothing, gear, suits, etc. really makes a difference in your appearance and in the way others see you. Not to mention the way you carry yourself. You tend to have more respect for your things and start to treat them better. Elongating the life of each of them. This is the point where you are transitioning from purchases to actually investing in yourself and your future. Things that will last many years to come.

For as rough as I am on things, one of the pair of jeans is from 2008, other are ranging from 09 - 12. Wearing the same pairs of jeans 100 or more days a year can really take its toll on any fabric. Rotating 3-4 pairs of jeans a week.

TLDR? You do you, I do me

Oz, how bad is a sinking foundation? The house I looked at today is sinking in a couple spots so the kitchen cabinets are leaning and shit. Should I even bother getting a structural engineer to look at it or walk away? I can probably get this turd house for $25k.
