What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

Part for fun, part for just in case. You never know. And it was super cheap @ $60 so not a huge dent in the wallet.

 

Began to wire my fuse box and switch backs from skygear

 

Where did you drill the hole? On the side, straight down, etc.

Installed micro-dash cams front and rear...will post picks later as I just got back from road trip from FL seeing daughters. Whew, 16hrs with fuel stops only isn't like it used to be

 

Gave it a bath, took it for a cruise. Won't mention how warm it was here today for those who are not being so fortunate with the weather at the moment.

Use a coat hanger and pull 2-3 wires at a time. Its a tight fit trying to force all the wires through

 

How big was the drill bit?

 

I started small and worked my way up. Its about 1/4" maybe a little bigger. I used a stone bit from my dremmel

 

Just finished pulling my rusty old starter off because I've been having an intermittent no start problem. Sanded and cleaned the contacts inside and now it starts good and strong.

 

I used the 885 coils with the top plate spacers. 16 inch wheels on 285/75/16. Barely rubs. Only when full lock in reverse. A little trimming should take care of it. I say buy it. Im very impressed with the ride quality. Almost want to say better than stock.

Yea I already have a rear cam. I just want something where It has a space for the cam. Most of the ones on eBay are for the ones with no cams.

 

Nice do you have that on some sort of bracket?

 

I had my muffler swapped to a Borla Pro XS (40358) at a shop (since I have no idea how to weld). Research also led me to chopping the fat end of my tail pipe to weld a Borla resonated tip (20248).



Truck sounds dope and I couldn't be happier.. until I went to work last night and hit the highway.

I'm in bed now and I can still hear the droning.. that wretched 1200-2000 RPM drone. I don't wanna go back to stock so I'm hoping that Ultra-Quite resonator by Vibrant will solve the problem. It worked for the Titan guys, hopefully it works for me.

 

If you already have the rear cam, then are you looking for the handle replacement with the Pop-N-Lock built in? I've read reviews that the handle version is not of a good quality compared to the OEM handle, hence I kept the OEM handle and just installed the pop-n-lock actuator in the tailgate. Way better IMO...
