so 6x9 better lows? and 6.5 better mids and highs?

 

been waiting for this for awhile, trex eyelids on and new headlights with the bezels swapped from my previous lights

really all depends on the type (2 ways, 3 ways, components, coaxials)and there are a ton of factors that I don't have time going into at the moment. But MOST 6X9s would have more mids/bass than 6.5s. I personally like a mix between them all to cover all frequencies and bring all the sounds together nicely.

I personally like a setup like this (reminder this is very simple setup, I have had some crazy stuff back in the day):
set of 6X9 components
set of 6.5 components
set of separate tweeters
sub of choice
(I like components simply cause of ease of install, however I do like to add another set of tweeters up higher than ground level, i.e. at least the stock tweeter location)

That honestly would be perfect! It has 22 watts RMS which is really damn good.
low pass filter which is good since you won't be installing equalizers
the 4 outputs let you control the sub by itself without messing with the inside speakers sound setup and with 2 sets of outputs you can add another amp down the line if you want to wire your door speakers to an amp or even (like I plan on doing one day) run an amp to push speakers installed in your truck bed, or just add another amp for another sub if needed.
I see that it has to have a blue tooth adapter (stinks it doesn't come with it cause bluetooth is worth its weight in gold) not having to actually plug in your iPod,android whatever to play music is great. Just sending the music wirelessly keeps messy wires away. Plus the handsfree phone feature..

All in all that headset would be leaps and bounds over the dual one you linked before.

I know they make single dins with 18 watts which would be fine too if you want to go that route….

I almost got that but the reviews of the bright lights turned me off…(not sure if they hooked up the dimmer wire or not but there were many reviews about bright lights)

oh and the RMS watts were way too low for me…i didn't want to have to add an amp to my door speakers.

 

ok, so the HU is good, subs good, ive got the amp, so the door speakers....I should get 6x9s instead of the ones that I found on crutchfield and then find some tweeters? then ill look everything up on Amazon to see if anything is cheaper

 

Check ebay too, no sales tax & sometimes cheaper than Amazon.
There's been times I've found something on amazon cheaper than ebay & then tax kills the deal.

Crutchfield had kicker 6.5" 50% off awhile back I went that route and they sound great with an eclipse head unit at 14watts rms pushing them and an 8" shallow mount kicker sub with 120w rms amp for it. 6.5" will be fine just whatever you get make sure they don't protrude too far or you will have to sand down the inside of the door panel. My only complaint is all the screws I use to hold the speaker adapters in place come loose for some reason, ONLY on my driver side.

I have had these same tweeters in 3 vehicles, always have had great sound from them, good deal for titaniums

Ok...so the 6x9s I found on Amazon are good right? I think they should be a direct fit replacement. Now just needing tweeters I guess? I really do suck at audio system crap lol
