I've never been to any of those so I'm down with any of those... I'm down with any... I was kinda thinking about the Gulch's down in the Springs area... but that's quite a haul for you... I'd rather hit actual trails rather than just snow bash on un-maintained roads $.02 but I'm down for whatever... saturday or sunday works for me...

I wouldn't mind the Gulches again. I feel there are still trails in the area that I haven't run yet. But, for me, this weekend is out for a long day like that. I gotta be fresh for Sunday.

Id be tempted to travel for a trail. If its just a simple dirt road and snow bashing Ill probably stay up here for some fishing and camping.

Time is subject to change depending on the group... but the later the start, the more likely we'll only hit two of the trails as it's a bit of a drive to the trail heads and depending on the weather, could have heavy traffic.

    What: Trail run/Bashing
Where: Hackett GulchMetberry Gulch Longwater Gulch(Teller County)
When: 0900 at Rudy's BBQ (315 South 31st Street, Colorado Springs, CO 80904)

    Who:
    1. Ebbs
    2. BDN (Brett, you know you want to... you can even leave early... we'll let you :D)

I'll let you know probably on Friday. Just depends on my work load and how the fishing has been.

Longwater is fully stock friendly... did a trip last year with a stock height 1st gen (open/open) and a brand new (still had dealer tags) 2014.

Metberry is an out and back, so they just parked the last little bit (where the "big" obstical is

Hackett... I've never run... so can't speak to it...

most of hackett would be stock friendly, the last climb and rock section would be harry in a fully stock tacoma. It was a fun run last time a month or so ago, full of snow. Just watch this section and then the top of the last hill climb

The section that wanted to keep sliding people towards that tree on the left, just stay high and everyone would be fine!!

The final hill climb and where our group turned around. (i didnt attempt)

    Thanks man!

I hate being "that guy" when you guys all meet up in armored and lifted trucks and I'm there with a DCLB stock height Sport with sliders lol I have a blast every time I go. Just don't want to screw up my truck, it's my daily driver and how I make my living. Some day I'll be able to afford some legs for it haha.

I've got a 2.5" lift... no sliders and a front bumper... that's it... and it's my DD... you're not far behind anyone especially with the sliders, as that's what usually you're worried about with clearance... really, my diff is only about 1"-2" higher than yours due to tire size, not lift... just watch your approach/departure and you'll be just fine.

exactly, and most people on these runs will walk you through obstacles too. The last thing people want is broken equipment so its always better to just ask for a spotter, i do all the time as many of you know!! :D

Or if you get to a section in the trail where you dont feel comfortable try and get to a good spot and jump in with someone else if the trail lends itself to returning to your rig that is. Which hackett is an out and back so you could do just this. Its all about having fun, most of our trucks are our DD too. I dont know anyone on here that isnt using the truck as a DD

Yes, it would probably help if you didn't run into small boulders though.
