Easy unless you're on vacation or off road. Yes that is where the second set of headlights comes in but let's be realistic.... Not many people carry around a spare set.

I'm not sorry I did it. They were great when they worked but if they are only going to last 10 months and you have to wait 2 days to get them (admittedly good service) the pracicality isn't there. Like I said before... Any headlight bulb with moving parts.... Probably not good.

New kit received. I'm not sure if these are the right bulbs. They are missing the fan and you can see 2 bare wires inside, a red and black (edit: checked and power is present). Let sigh, time to contact lifetimeledlights again.

I have to say at least their tech support answers questions quickly. The bulbs have been updated and are correct. Bare power wires question still pending.

Based on what many of you have said LIFETIME needs to change their fucking company name. 8-10 months and their LED's burn out? What a piece of shit.

Not all of them. I had the unfortunate burn out and the reason I chose not to put them back in was the hassle to actually put them in. It's a 30 min process instead of a 2-3 min process with regular bulbs. They are pretty damn impressive when they work and not all go out. Their response time and customer service is pretty impressive also. I just didn't want to get stranded on vacation or somewhere without a replacement.

The tech will catch up. Just not quite there yet.

The lifetime of fruitflies is only 10 to 18 days. That's longer than at least some of the bulbs they have sold. Mine are still doing fine after almost a year. I just hope they keep working.

Anyone care to speculate as to *why* these things burn out? I want 'em, but not if they crap out like Silverstars.

Crappy craftsmanship, shitty quality control, over voltage, bad current regulators, there are tons of reasons leds could crap out. The latest set I have had the fan removed and the power and ground wires were left bare to short to each other or the case.

Don't get me wrong though. I want to like them. I'd try another company if your interested, at least until LifetimeLED ups their quality..

Brite Ass LED's is one other dealer.

My 70W Lifetimes are still working, but the light output blows.

They are too "floody" to be effective.

The light projected down the road is almost non existent, and the color temperature is too high.
