Ooh nice. The handle of mine is getting some blue transfer from my jeans almost like a patina. Looks good to me. Love the feel of this knife.

I'm gonna buy one more knife and call it good. Done! Finito!

I want a custom build. 99% sure it will be an Adventure Sworn Huntsman. 1/8 blade, convex grind. The buying process is a fucking nightmare. Don't ask.

I looked at that a while ago. Seemed like a giant cluster. Have you looked at Bark River at all? You can find them on dlttrading.com (who carry a lot of knifes and are great peeps to deal with).

Worth the hassle. Cody and Leif make incredible blades, you'll have a really long wait for a custom build.

Have you considered Matt Paul at MP Knives? Hand forged, and incredible knives as well.

Bark River and Adventure Sworn are on too opposite sides of the spectrum, incomparable.

He's a great guy, Cody and Leif (Adventure Sworn) and Matt are really incredible people. Matt is legit as legit can be, heirloom quality tools, meant to be beaten and worked.

World's away from mass production makers.

yea. bark river. very good stuff.

but finding "the one" has been fun. i'm not a fan of finger guards..i looked at the Behrings..fingerguards.

i just want a simple profile. gentle drop point, a great carbon steel blade. i found an avenue to buy an Adventure Sworn. it wont be totally my choice in custom options..but it will be one of his random blades he puts out. slightly cheaper...i might get brown micarta instead of black..or wood. whatever.

one came up recently that was damn close to my specs. timing is EVERYTHING!! i was at a restarant heading to AZ to hunt deer. all my "mad money" that my wife has ZERO voice in how i spend it..wadded up in my pocket to use for my deer tags, gas..etc. you blink..whamo..blade is sold. i get new "mad money" this sunday.. i'll be ready cash-wise, but maybe a Huntsman wont come up.

i talked to Cody. the Huntsman comes in either Scandi, Convex..or a merge he calls Scandivex..i want either of the last two.

cash ready sunday..hope the right blade comes up. i have a backup..his Explorer knife. even more gentle drop point..but longer overall knife. either one of these pops up..i am gonna high five myself.

That's about what it is, 30 seconds or so once they pop up for sale before they're gone to someone else.

His scandivex is phenomenal from what I have heard, if you get one, post pics! Good luck!
