Here are better pics. Over time leather turns darker because of the oils in your hand. I also have installed on my CRV, by the way I did a better job. As you can see the CRV looks as a better install. You can also see that over time the leather starts forming over steering wheel and becomes tighter. Thats why you must really pull on needle and thread.

CRV how it suppose to look

Tacoma not how to tie it off now that I think about. When I did the crv I watched a youtube videos first as it gave me some tips. On the tacoma I thought I was a pro by now.

not good see down on the steering wheel

They are both the same color grey, over time the Tacoma wheelskins will turn dark and get tighter.

I like wheelskins it gives it a thicker handle on the steering wheel vs. plastic thin tube....

Judging by how much pulley the belt has eaten through, I'd replace it. With the amount of wear you have there, the tensioner might not be tight enough.

I'm also guessing the press fit between the bearing and the pulley might have enough wear to be causing the wobble but that be a guess.

You may want to consider going back to the stock tensioner pulley as it is a steel body and will hold up longer with the back of the belt rolling across it.

When I had the URD tensioner pulley installed, there was absolutely no play. No idea how much is considered too much. URD ad copy and the fact that it is made of aluminium makes it seem more applicable to a true race truck instead of a daily driver. If they had bonded some sort of steel band to the bottom of the channel, it'd last a whole lot longer.

No. running the stock S/C pulley. I tried the URD 2.2" pulley and something seemed off between 2k and 3k RPMs. As I'm limited on time, threw the stock S/C pulley back on until I can sit down and learn how to tune it properly. Also, I wasn't happy with the gas mileage drop.

That's what I have on mine. Will the stock tensioner pulley work with the urd supercharger pulley?

yes. I didn't measure them but they look to be close to the same diameter at the belt contact surface.

It could be fun on trail rides. Just use the PA rather than a CB.

PAs can have a purpose on a trail. Comes in handy when attempting to tell your spotter they don't know what the hell they are doing.

I thought you were running the URD tensioner pulley?

Thats strange, I didn't notice any decrease in gas milage with the URD pulley. I have noticed a slight decrease in milage with the supercharger as a whole, but thats mainly because I drive it like a race truck more now... :burnrubber:

I was. After realizing it was aluminium and hearing isu2014 talk about the belt wearing the pulley away, took it off and reinstalled the stock one when I reinstalled the stock S/C pulley.

After seeing CohbsTaco's video, not a fan at all. Don't keep an eye on it and the belt will be down to the bearing cage. Really is something for a race truck as opposed to a daily driver.

With the stock pulley and babying the gas pedal, I get about 17.5 mpg. This is about what I was getting when I had the stock intake. With the URD pulley, it was about 16.5 mpg.

I read somewhere that the boost with the stock pulley really doesn't start to come on until around 3k. The 2.2" lowers the threshold so it is harder to keep the fuel demand down.

When I say babying it, I mean smooth, easy accelerations and shifting before 3k. Keeping with traffic instead of trying to race it. :D
