2011 here with 40k and I'm considering it. The only thing that bugs me about mine
is the heated side mirrors not being an option.

There is a DIY option however that's very well done and OEM fit finish and function. :)

I think I'll actually wait until Year 2016 gets here, and hopefully the TRD Pro version will be released for consumers.

I'm buying the first one that's available in my area. Don't even care what color it is.

I'll wait a year. But boy is it gonna be tough. I want that power moonroof. Would probably be a lot less headache and money to put one in my "09" they brought my color back too.

Tacoma is stock and staying that way, Pickup is TBA as of now.
Good plan! First gens are getting even harder to find these days in good condition with low miles. I never want to part with mine, it's perfect for what I need. I like the size and feel of it better than my old '11. I still like second gens though, and hope to either get my wife in a clean second gen double cab or a low miles first gen double cab like mine.

Right now, she has a 1998 Ford Explorer which is a nice rig, but a tree went through the dash last summer in a bad microburst and fucked up a lot of the electronics in the dash. I put it back together the best I could and replaced the windshield, but the car has never been the same since. I don't trust it if she has to travel any long distance without having issues. It used to be flawless, but since that incident, it's sketchy for me. I want her in something that's not going to leave her stranded on the side of the road in a blizzard.

I know it :) I've just never wanted to screw with the electrical system
and now with the 2016 to be released maybe I won't have to. Many
new features on the new one I like - the only shtty part is when it's
released is the SAME time I'll be making my last payment on this one!

If I were on my last payment heated mirrors certainly wouldn't be a deciding factor to buy a new one ;)

Considering the new one will be the reason for Not doing the heated mirror DIY at this point. Were I to keep it after checking out the new one I'll more than likely look into something.

Let's just say that the first person to post a 2016 with THEIR temporary tag wins the Internet. Sound good?

Can you legally offer up the internet? I mean, Al Gore invented it, so isn't it his to offer up?

I talked to my dealer yesterday and they think I can place an order around june for August delivery...hope that is accurate.

Now I just need to decide if its to be a dcsb or access...Pretty much narrowed it down to TRD sport 4x4..

Any one have info on colors?

btw, I just sold my 2007 double cab tundra.
