I have the stock "skid plate" (more like splash guard). Not the TRD, but it's free

I have the black splash guard (better word for it). I kinda like the look of the silver TRD piece, I'm all highway so it's purely aesthetic.

Let me know if you want to get rid of it, and for how much! I have no clue what they go for.

Ive got one at my parents place in Cambria. I bent it a little on a rock but pretty much got it straightened out again. If you dont need it anytime too we can try and work a way to have it hitch hiked on up to you

In no immediate rush, it's mostly a feeler at this point. Literally came to me today that I should see if someone has one they don't use, and I have to keep it hidden from the other half. :anonymous:

Lol its purely aesthetic anyways. Those silver TRD skids are basically aluminum foil. I had one for a minute and it dented at the slightest touch. When I threw it away, I tried stepping on it for shits n giggles and it bowed to the ground immediately. shows you exactly how much protection it offers, if any. I know there's a guy on here that makes them out of like 10g steel or aluminum, I can't remember, but they are a bit beefier and offer alot more protection

I'll be traveling from Pleasanton to Santa Barbara and back Feb 7th-8th if it needs a ride. I'll probably post up in the NorCal Express thread.

I know they're weak and mainly tossed to the garbage can after they're bent to hell and replaced with real skids, or they're taken off immediately and replaced with real skids. The only offroad I see is NPS roads and/or private camping sites, so I won't be anywhere near rocks or 4x4 trails. The only thing it will come in contact with is bug splatter on the highway. :anonymous:

Yea but think about if you were to run over something or have something kick up and hit it, or God Forbid if you got into a wreck or hit something, even at low speed, that thing will crumple if someone breathes to hard nears it lol. I'm just saying, I'd rather have something a little stouter guarding the front end. I know their are some inexpensive skids out there made from a little thicker metal that can take a hit, somewhere

Yea I'm looking at a thicker skid and bumper, hence this one still being in my garage. If you don't mind a few scrapes and plastidip residue on them. It'll come out, but just picky enough to sit there and pick it out..

I don't mind derp. Can you snap some pics of the scrapes?
I can PM my cell if it's easier. Just curious if they're surface mainly, or if the metal is creased/dented.
