How do you guys feel about strangers joining your events? Got a lift and tires a little over a month ago and have been itching for a chance to put it to the test.

    You're only a stranger once....

Then you're just weird and awkward like the rest of us. Especially that one guy. He knows who he is. Dude's a wackjob!

In that case, maybe I'm not a stranger after all. :D

It is spelled Whackjob and it is capitalized because I am a proper noun, thankyouverymuch.

LOL other than Lauren (Ice horse) Brett(BDN) I haven't met anyone who's voiced interest in this... So you're good.

I think it's pretty safe to say if the run is put here, is open to everyone. The private runs (if there are any) are usually done in private... But I wouldn't know... I'm never invited:(

Well, my mom always used to say "stranger danger!" Actually, that's not true. I don't think I heard that phrase until college at which point it was a little late... maybe this explains why I don't understand the basic concept of a public forum... But I do think I learned "he who smelt it dealt it" from her which has proven to be invaluable.

Might have to join in on the shenanigans this weekend. Just checked the weather for Lake George, looks like 3 in of snow on Friday and another couple inches Saturday. I have yet to actually do a snow run so I'm looking forward to it.

Time is subject to change depending on the group... but the later the start, the more likely we'll only hit two of the trails as it's a bit of a drive to the trail heads and depending on the weather, could have heavy traffic.

    What: Trail run/Bashing
Where: Hackett GulchMetberry Gulch Longwater Gulch(Teller County)
When: Saturday 31 Jan 0900 at Rudy's BBQ (315 South 31st Street, Colorado Springs, CO 80904)

    Who:
    1. Ebbs
    2. BDN (Brett, you can't let me be the only 1st Gen!)
    3. Baby Taco (maybe)
    4. Halfway72 (maybe)
    5. Tx9812valve(maybe)
    6. mybrainishuge(maybe)
    5. [You know what to do here... don't you?lol]

My "maybe" is more on the yes side. Trying to determine if I want to head down from Boulder tonight or in the morning. I should also point out that I have no armor beyond the factory skid plates. Will this be an issue for these runs?

no, we'll spot you on anything you want or looks close. and if all else fails, we should have an open seat to park and ride (all the trails are out and back) but there is only... one or two obsticals per trail that would even be close... and like I said... I watched a 2014 with dealer plates do both Mettberry and Hatchet. Longwater I haven't done

Damn... hoped to put a face to a screen name/truck

I'll keep an eye out for future meets. School is just starting and they loaded me down already. If I stay in Laramie over the summer I'll be jumping in a lot of the CO runs.

Probably a good thing you didn't go last year. Pretty sure everyone that said they were going from WY had to bail on the CO guys last minute.. I hope to join in on more of the WY runs as well.

all depends... if it's dry... probably not except for the rocks... and the big hill on hackett... but again... we could easily give you a tug, the hill would be my only concern, as it's very steep and has a 90* turn right at the top, so pulling someone up is difficult at best... I couldn't make it up in 2wd when my front diff took a shit... had to call Lauren out and have her winch me up...

I don't have a winch, but if anyone else does, I'd say no issue at all.

LOL no offense, I'd be up there mostly for the trails anyways ;-) but I'll keep an eye in the WY thread

How many confirmations are there? Looks like a lot of maybes.

Have anything in mind? If Ebbs's trip falls through, I'll be interested.
