Ya. Gas getting there is a bitch. But when there, you don't use much on the trail. I went through about a third of a tank a day? But those were usually all long days and I was romping on it non stop. I think for the week there (unless you head out way far to a trail like elephant hill) you will probably go through a couple of tanks. The grocery store there has everything you need and it's decently priced too. So you could really do shoppig down there if you wanted to not haul it around

I think all in all, my trip usually costs about 600? Gas, food, fun shit, booze...I can't budget for broken parts soni just make sure i have enoigh in the bank to take care of what happens.

 

u guys think i can change my supercharger belt, tensioner pulley, both itre, both otre, and both lbjs, in one day tomorrow???

saturday AM...will be meeting up with Dylan out there who will be there for goneMOAB..get what we need to get done out of the way hopefully saturday, so we'd have sunday open hopefully..

 

sounds good to me. Still thinking of going out Friday night after work but if not I'll definitely head out Saturday AM to give you a hand.

 

I plan on rolling into BFE Saturday night and setting up camp for the night and possibly dicking around a little then being ready for trails sunday. If you guys don't mind ill tag along on white rim seeing how as I have no trials planned at all yet. Edit: I do have Rusty Nail and Pritchete planned but that will be the weekend after.

 

since you may be the first one in our group there...we're reserving the right side from the bottom of the hill all the way up from that ditch to where it starts to wrap left for the sponsors to setup...

where you typically setup should be outside of that area we're looking to rope off, but just a heads up...

not sure who'll still be there from goneMOAB, but we'll rope off the best we can...

 

is there a specific day thats like sponsor day or something??

 

there will be sponsored trail runs that everyone should keep an ear out for...

it's a great opportunity to wheel with these amazing sponsors that everyone loves

we are very fortunate to have some great people who help make this event possible i encourage everyone to swing by and ask them questions, get to know them and see how they can help with your rigs...

we're also looking into some sponsored dinners for Thursday and Friday.... BBQ/Potluck style

as far as a sponsor day...it's everyday! they'll be there right next to us shooting the shit, wheeling, and enjoying Moab...don't be shy

That's a good size list... especially being only the end of January.

 

im thinking im going to try and camp where I did last year. Once again ill have the RTI trailer and the "shop" with me. For those that don't remember ill be bring down generator welder air compressor and damn near every other tool I think a Taco could need in moab.
I feel it may be needed last year we rebuild a diff, a rear drive line, welded a steering box mount back into place and Fabed bumper parts for a 4runner that didn't get it done in time.

Yes. But unlike last year id still like some relax time. I felt I spend damn near every night helping some one fix something.

Two years ago I think when Ripcord blew up his rear diff I also broke mine. I had gears over nighted to me from toytech, rebuilt the rear end and wheeled the rest of the trip and drove home.

 

I like the way you work. Ain't no blown diff gonna fuck up a good time!

But srsly, it makes me really happy to hear that guys more capable and better equipped may be around to lend a hand if needed. I'll do my best to leave you alone though

 

And we'll be sure to recheck every bolt so we don't keep losing parts driving down the road to BFE and having to bum bolts off people

i wanna see some flexing on that damn rti ramp this year! but yes since you'll be there early, we'd all appreciate it if you could help with keeping that section Bob mentioned open for sponsors. lots of sponsors will be in attendence this year!
