Good to know. I dont think mine is a head gasket but I normally dont make short trips with it. Live 25 miles each way from work.
Ok on the fittings and hoses. What made you go with this one?

They are insane! And I live walking distance. Drop off the truck and walk home. :D They did my BAMF sliders. No drama. No problems. Great price. Incredible work.

I will get more pics tomorrow as the sun is going down, all that was missing was running the coax down the rail systems behind the tounneu rail, under the cab up through the floor. Power was ran from my blue pelican fuse box (which also has negative poles) through the firewall with anderson powerpole quick disconnects to cut power in the event I have to remove the console. but I will do a complete write up tomorrow. sorry, I am new here, just figured out how to post pics without using links. will now figure out where the "my build" page is.

safelite just left installing new windshield, just got back from Florida visiting daughters, while there got a rock strike which turned into a wondering crack on the way home... ahhh, nice new glass. considering the thing had a ding in it when I bought the truck in December seems like it was gonna be replaced sooner than later.

I really like how much was taken off for this. I chopped mine last weekend and still rubbing slightly. Does anyone know if chopping it back this much messes up any structural integrity of the cab mounts (especially if I do not have a cap to cover it)? (I didnt take any corner off of the chop, just cut it back straight across after I beat back the wheel well so it was flush). I want to chop that entire tip off the rounded end (beyond the large bolt connecting to the cab). Is this ok?

Finally went for it and purchased the Bushwhacker fender flares, installed them last night. Overall I am happy with them but did have to cut in the fronts to remove some of the plastic where my tires rubbed (like un drivable type of rub). They looks clean though.

New, Is this "fluid film" the same thing I find at auto zone? Do you spray the total underneath or just the frame? Just bought a 2009 TRDSport DC and according to carafe it came from MI, there is rust but it appears to be surface, still have to do complete inspection. Is this what I want to use?

FJ Cruiser cab mount chops look approximately like this (pic) all the time with no issues.

Do you propose to cut like this, or even MORE than this?

When you say "beyond the bolt connecting the cab" I'm not sure what you mean. It is a cab mount - and I would NOT recommend cutting it back so far as to be unable to mount the cab to the frame at this point.

If I understand correctly, you're fine doing that. You will want to box it back in though.

From a design standpoint, the only reason the cab mount comes out that far is probably to prevent the wheel from squishing your legs in a bad accident. Trimming it will reduce that functionality, but will not reduce the strength of it as a cab mount (if you box it back in)
