Watch out for some smaller cabinet/glove box models. The cheaper one I used a while back leaked like a mofo without some tweaking and duct tape :D

well got my new wheels, tires, and spacers on! ive always had a thing for the tx pro wheels, greta looking factory wheel imo. i threw a little twist on mineand paintedthe rings flat white. still not completely sold on the white but its not bad. i hope it fades or i may have to respray them a different color. poor girl is showing her faded paint:(

but onto crappy phone pics! Got 3/4" Bora spacers from Marc, thanks man! they worked great, didn't stick the tires way out, only a 1/4" further than what it was. I did have to lop off 3 threads or so on the studs on the spacers. damn things are crazy long. the TRD lug nuts bottomed out before the wheel was tight. so a few minutes later running thread chasers over them, no more problems:)

Then some photos of the new getup. I went with Cooper StMaxx 285's. Gonna give them a go. if i hate them, I know what ill go back to:D

Nice Jace. Been running my BORA spacers for 10 months now and they are great. Tar's look nice. I want to see them in person.

Wheels look good. I like the white! I thought I remember hearing you say something along the line of "POS Coopers" once though. :p

And to now completely sidetrack this discussion. Do you have any tips on replacing the LCA bushings? Wondering how it is swapping the metal sleeves and such. Also thinking about replacing the cam bolts. There's a little discussion going on in my build if you want to add your insight there.

well ill let you know my friend!

    maybe i said pos bfg

and what do you wanna know about lcq bushings? they suck. i gaurentee you you have a couple that are siezed, meaning the eccentric wont spin inside the bushing, let alone come out of the bushing. i do a set of lcas about once a week.... i have 4" cutoff wheels i use to cut about half way through the eccentric on either side of the bushings. then I use a special sharp cutting bit on my air hammer and slice through the rest. our first gens are more difficult than the newer trucks because our racks have to be removed or "loosened" to get the new eccentrics in. IF you think your lcas are still in ok shape then I'd say give it a shot on bushings. however if you think they are bent, id recommend buying new. they arent crazy priced and come with new bushings. unless you wanna go poly then that wouldn't make sense. i used an air hammer and a press and a torch to get my old bushings out. took some serious creativity to position the arms in the press so i would bend the arm in the process. it is this reason i rarely offer bushing replacement as an option to a customer. the pure labor that goes into it isnt worth it. cheaper to just buy lcas and have me throw them in with lots of antisieze:)

if you are motivated go for it, however dont be surprised if you spend all day on it and dont even finish. especially if you dont have all the right/special tools. also, once you cut the eccentric out, its obviously trashed. so always replace with new. most of the time the bolts and nuts are ok, just scotch brite the rust off and lube the piss out of it. but the eccentrics will need replaced, both sides of the bushings.
there you go, i gave you my secrets
:D you owe me a beer in Moab

I sold my BFGs, on to Hankooks.

Thanks for the input, I'll make sure to get you a beer or two in Moab.

All the cams are loose, but I haven't pulled the bolts out. Already have the Whiteline poly bushings on order. Think I'm going to do it over spring break the same time I do upper and lower ball joints, and put on your old struts.

    :woot: Cooper ST MAXX! :woot:

I love mine in the tall & skinny size. Love your wheels too! I was considering getting those same wheels too until SCS came out with their SR8's.

I need to hit you up some time here in the next couple of months and have you help me shorten my Moab list! :D
