Does anyone know if the TRD supercharger kits will fit a Hilux with the 1GR 4.0L v6, as the Hilux has the same motor as the Tarcoma I'm thinking yes, but does anyone know for sure?

The TRD s/c works for the hilux, but you have to get it from a dealer in Australia. As the fit kit is different because the engine bay is opposite from the tacoma. There is a member on this forum from Australia who has the s/c installed.

Mmmm...... looking at pictures they look the same.

You cant buy them from dealers here, one company has a kit the same as the TRD kit but want $8500Aus, I can get s/c kit, x-one stage one kit, TRD cai, DT long tube hedders in the us for about $6500Aus, big difference.

You wouldnt happen to know his username??

Well you could probably buy the s/c and everything else from the U.S. and just get the fit kit from a dealer by you.

Yeh that is the factory TRD Hilux $65,000 AU on road, not a s/c kit fitted after. I have the SR5 hilux $50,000 on road. They dont make the TRD hilux anymore. stopped making them last year.
By the looks of it everything is the same, cai on same side etc, might just take the gamble, I know of someone that got the TRD kit for the 3.4 v6 over hear and went on fine.
Was hopping someone has come across this before with the 1GR.

    Cheers for your help guys

    Wade

Thats not a problem to do the install yourself I installed mine. When you buy the s/c its 2 part numbers the s/c itself, and a fit kit which includes the front mount intercooler and mounting brackets. You could probably get the tacoma kit and make any changes to it if needed. I only see you having a problem with the install of the fit kit itself maybe.

What you could do is take a picture of the front of your truck without the grill on, so that way we can see if it looks like the tacoma front end mounting points for the intercooler.

If the mounting points are the only issue, I could proberly do some modificatios with the mounts to make it fit.
I emailed APR about the x-one and have to send him a photo of my ecu connection as mine is a 2009 hilux and he mentioned with the 09 Tarcoma there was a ecu change, I really want the x-one for tuning, from what it can do I can see it's definately the go for tuning.
