    Just noticed one of the bolts in the open kit is a smaller bolt than the other three....... Ugh!!

    So Rockauto is sending me 2 new sets, and have asked me to return these sets. The guy on the phone told me that these will not be restocked, and also confirmed that they have had multiple issues with this part #.

    Just to be perfectly clear, the bolts should be 2 different sizes. The larger bolt uses washers 826-4, and 826-2. The smaller bolt uses bother 826-8 washers.

    Well that's really making me second guess these.

    Are both your front and rear bolts the same size? Do both bolts have sleeves?

    ***just an FYI cause it was mentioned I the first thread, the 826-8 and 826-3 are the same outside diameter. The difference is that the -8 fits the smaller bolt, and the -3 fits the bigger bolt. ***

    What was the # of the one that stripped out on you? Did it fit the bt tight? Just wondering if it could have been a -3 washer on the smaller bolt meant for a -8.

    Edit: nevermind, I just checked and the -3 just spins on the smaller bolt.

    OME lift 4x sliders 4x skids
    this will be my second winter season on the OEM bolts. I anti-seized them when I initially installed them in replacement of seized bolts back in December of '14. I just pulled them back out and anti-seized them for this winter season. So far A-OK with stock bolts and sleeves anti-seized once per year.

    Yes, I did swap it out myself this time. When they were initially installed I did it with another member (loosnut) who is a mechanic by trade. I ended up removing them and reinstalling them in the early fall due to the install of the total chaos cam tab gussets. it was after this install that my alignment guy pointed out the issue. I finally had the time to swap it out - I rarely drive the truck anymore so it was not a big deal.
    The point is: since the install I wheeled the truck 3 times. Uwharrie, Rausch, and Core Va. and did little other street driving - I've maybe driven a total of 4000 miles since August when I initially installed them with my suspension upgrade.
    To answer your other question: I had no problems turning the cam bolt when I installed it.
    I'm not thrilled with the fact that there are still wrong kits being shipped out (RockAuto told me to keep the first wrong set I got which is why I had the spare).

    I felt it important to share my experiences with y'all. :thumbsup:

    How does one remove the bolts to apply antisieze?
