Got a quote of 500 from frontier 4x4 for the welding in the rear. Ryan does that seem about right from what you know ?

10-4, I will have to sell some stuff first. haha

So the quote was for frame plate install, shackle mount relocation install, spring hanger relocation install and your shock relocation?

You are leaving the shackle mounts in the factory location? I guess if you are running longer shackles that would probably be ok.

The quote is about what I would have guess it to be. Dropping a rusty tank (a lot of broken bolts), removing factory spring hangers and prepping for weld sucked. I can't comment on the shock relocation I wasn't there when Ryan did his. I guess it also depends on if you want to take all credit for your mods and save money or save yourself a headache and just get stuff over with and move on to other things.

I'm running a 4" shackle so just about stock, but all pro swears stock shackles will even work. And thats kinda where I am at this point I mean I rather have someone else do it than have parts sitting around waiting for a friend to find time to do it with

Edit: I guess I'm buying more hangars lol

Shackle mounts would depend on the length of the springs. I would think if you got longer springs you would move both the spring mounts and shackle hangers to keep the axle in the same location. I did this on my 85' 4Runner. I didn't drop the tank, but its different then a Tacoma. Like Nate said it might be worth paying Luke to do it then deal with the headache. I didn't think about some of the things Nate brought up like dropping the tank and some of the prep work. The other stuff isn't so bad. I made my own shock relocation bar to get my shocks / \ and welded the bar to frame. (on my 85') It is something I could probably weld up for you Peter if you didn't care if it was pretty or not. We can talk this weekend when you pick up the bed liner stuff. (although I will be off-roading Sunday)
