Not even worth a comment. There is more to this than what is being told. The facts as stated make no sense at all.

Come on OP, Spill the beans. [IMG]

Bingo thats a much smarter option, The dodge is going to cost you nothing but $200 a month in fixing stupid stuff. IE: Steering, front end, wheel bearings, ujoints.. Will cost more in long run..

    Do dents and scratches count?
I just traded my 2014 in yesterday. Paid 28k for it in Oct 2013. Traded it in yesterday with 13k+ miles on it and got 25k for it. Purchased a 2015 Tundra.

This gets my vote also. You will spend less on gas, and still have a great truck for when you need one. Unless, as was stated, there is more to this story than is being told...

My vote goes to keeping the Tacoma and driving it as much as you want/need to. Miles will not kill the value of this truck.

For reference...I've checked on KBB for the value of my 2014 (almost 1 year old now, 18,250 on the clock, same DCSB, TRD OR, Entune/Nav, tow pkg. as you) and dealer trade-in is still at $30,600. That's ~13k miles more than you on the same model year, and obviously not a 100% correct comparison because I haven't taken it to a dealer, or the same dealer. Oh and I wasn't aware that the JBL stereo was available to the TRD OR package.

Guys....don't try and figure out the logic in all of this....there simply is none to be had. People do stupid, regrettable stuff all the time.

when you drove that vehicle off the lot, it became a used vehicle, i.e., worth at least 5 grand less than what you paid for it. Expecting 32 is unrealistic, and I would consider myself very lucky to get 30. Why not do some research and find out what you might be able to get in other parts of the country, like Montana, Wyoming, Alaska, etc.

Sorry y'all I ran off to finish watching the Super Bowl, but yes I need to pull my cash back out of this Tacoma. Went in on a start up business with a partner. We will be working from two different locations, in two different towns. Because we have equipment and some inventory to haul here and there, it still requires me to drive some kind of truck (A car or Honda won't work), I also have to tow at least 3500-4500 lbs via an enclosed trailer once or twice a week, that's why I bought the cheap Ram.

I know, makes more sense to keep the Tacoma for reliability and image. But if this Ram dies, I can replace it with another for less burn than I have in the Tacoma. Also our clients won't see this this vehicle usually, so Image isn't really a concern, and honestly the Ram isn't that bad looking, aside from it's the original mini "Big rig" looking version.

I know all of this seems dumb and stupid, but to me the Tacoma just looks like a big old pile of cash that I can throw into our business, instead of taking on debt. I can always get another one down the road, but right now the cash is worth more to me than sitting in metal, plastic and rubber.

Yes, it definitely has the stock subwoofer behind the rear double cab seat. I think my original MSRP was $36,600 new.

Why not sell the new tacoma and the ram, then buy a used tacoma.

Because I needed a cheap truck I could pay with cash, and I've never seen a decent Tacoma sell used for "Cheap" ever. Around here, beat on, well lived in and abused Tacoma's are still $6K- $8K or more. And that will be a 5-lug model, around '96-'98, with 200K or more.

*Edit* I've only seen absurd asking prices, but not actual transaction prices.

Sell the Taco and run, OP. It's gona free up some cash for you to throw at your business. The Ram is going to crap out sooner or later though so you'll be pulling hair all over again to look for that perfect used truck.

why are you even asking OP - you've already decided to do this, so do it and quit inciting Taco lovers to try and talk you out of it. Yes you are going to throw money away (probably more than you paid for the Ram).

Why didn't you include the fact you were starting a business up in the first place? That is key piece of information that would have helped.....

Should keep both, i traded my 97 dakota with 379,000 miles on it, only thing i did was replace the water pump at just over 200,000. So they "do" have the potential to last longer than most ppl think, BUT maintenance IS rhe key... my.02 worth
