Anyone have any interest in a custom switch blank for the center console below the dash for a Cobra 75 ? https://www.cobra.com/products/recreational/c-75-wx-st

This switch blank will allow you to mount the box behind the dash, plug into the extension in the blank and then either as needed, or left plugged in, you attach the MIC/ Handheld. Provides a clean mounting location and a micro switch could be fitted on the same blank if someone wanted it there to cut all power to the CB or another accessory.

So the pics above are how I wanted it at first. Was a late night many moons ago. I will solder up this connection tonight for mine/ If there is any interest, I will purchase plenty in bulk. Switch blanks might be an issue. I'll look for a source. Alternatively, I could have people ship me theirs to be modded.

Yeah. they are all the same sized. Check in the first post. There is the dimensional drawings linked in the first post.

This particular one was mounted higher upon request from the client/

Don't forget the mount is right side up, so it sits higher

No problem man. Take it a little at a time. I tend to cram all the useful info in one spot and let people absorb it at their pace.

Cost on the parts without the blank is about ~$10-$15.

    Was thinking ~$30

    - Blank drilled, 10 connections soldered, both sides grounded, braided loomed, then reinforcing the switch blank with industrial grade Black hot melt/ plastic welding it in there so it doesn't pull out.

I still do not have a cost on the switch blanks.

Some flags and center console divider... lots of things on the wanted list.
Im debating on which relay/fuse box route I want to go. I'm just thinking of cleaning up my engine bay...

Count your current accessories. See what has a relay already. Map out your future plans. From there, you can assess which box would meet your requirements.

I definitely need to do something like this. I have my CB mounted in my glove box but have been meaning to relocate the mic to the center console.

540Taco. Forgot to take pics of the LED Swap we did tonight. Get a few pics up later.

I swapped the lower and upper switch LED's on some OTRATTW switches tonight. I thought that the Green on the bottom for dimmer function seemed better than the Amber on the bottom to match his switch colors.

Swapped them at first and forgot to check polarity. had to remove the LED's and solder the long leads to the proper pins and bend them backwards, cut the opposite pin to size and all was well once I reassembled them /. Bonehead move on my part for not verifying polarity. All was well and they look awesome.

    V1D1 mod/ DONE!
